Bella Gourmet Pizzeria — Restaurant in Newington

I have found the best pizza outside of New Haven, CT. Pizza is one of my favorite foods and I have had all styles, thin crust, pan, deep dish, NY and New Haven styles, to name a few. My favorite is a crumbled sausage pizza with a thin crust. I’m not a fan of sliced sausage. I love Bella’s Gourmet Pizzeria of Newington, CT because they make the best sausage pie outside of New Haven. Additionally, I am a big fan of Bella’s for the following reasons:

Customer Service: Faik, the owner is so nice. He’s warm, friendly and he goes out of his way to make his customers happy. Quality: his sausage pie is wonderfully blended on a perfect crust. Normally, when I find a crumbled pie maker the sausage consists of chunks sparsely spread throughout the pie. Faiks sausage is finer and somehow blended nicely into the cheese, so the sausage flavor is more evenly spread throughout the pie. Speed: my pie is normally ready for pickup within 25 minutes. Value: best price I have ever paid for a one topping pizza, $20.39 (with tax!!). In this time of suffocating food inflation, Faik’s Bella’s Gourmet Pizzeria is an incredible, savory deal.

Will not order from them again after a very weird encounter last night. They forgot to make my grinders, as i waiting i noticed live cockroaches running around in their very dusty and dirty cubbies they keep their pizza slices in. I was so grossed out i had to say something to the other two other ladies. that were waiting for their food. They also noticed a dead roach, i wanted to tell the man behind the counter but he totally brushed me off as he was rushing to make my grinders, a minute later another person walked in with a pizza that they made incorrectly. As the gentleman was telling him what it was supposed to be the guy behind the counter had pretty rude tone with him. Food is always good when picking up and getting delivery as well. One thing that really stands out aside from the tasty pizza, grinders and salads + is the service! No where around here delivers to your door anymore (for YEARS now) when living in a condo/apartment complex. Today I naturally walked down from the second floor for my food and was confused because I didn’t see the delivery guy forgetting that Bella’s actually comes up, I felt silly and the delivery man had a little laugh with me. I thanked him and just relayed the message that they’re the only ones that do so. It’s the little things like full service on top of excellent food that really make all the difference.
