GREAT LOCATION looks clean but Im concerned with food handling safety and if it is being practiced at this location properly. I visited this location on 8/26 As the employee was adding veggies to the 2 salad bowls I had orderred I noticed when she was done with first bowl a long hair inside cheese tray. It looked like it had been there a while as it was stuck to metal. I told her nicely there is a long hair in cheese tray and she looked in tray and pulled out long black hair and immediately took out a new cheese tray. By this time she had already done my first bowl and had added this cheese on my bowl. Got no apology or neither did she offer to redo bowl. I tried to ignore it as I know these things tend to happen. She finished my second bowl and I asked her for green salsa on side and when I tasted salsa it tasted awful. It was sour and smelled bad. I was glad I had not put it on my food. I get up and approach an employee and tell her that the green salsa tasted nasty and smelled bad that I think its bad if she could please check it so noone else gets it and when I go sit down. In walks a customer telling another employee that she needs her burrito redone because the chipotle sauce in it tasted rancid. Im sitiing down trying to just enjoy my food as best as I can but Im thinking is the food even safe to eat? Am I gonna get food poisoning? At this point Im just wondering is food even safe to eat! Thank GOD I was fine but was very surprised to see that this new location is going through this. I really do hope that the owners take control of how food is being handled because somebody can get seriously sick! I really enjoy SALSA FRESCA FOOD but it is important for SERIOUS FOOD SAFETY MEASURES ARE BEING FOLLOWED. WHAT CAN I SAY! Visit this place at...
Read moreI'm writing a negative review with the hopes that it will lead to some improvement at this location - I really enjoy the quality of the food at Salsa Fresca but the past 3 or 4 orders I've made online have had major issues. Typically, like today's order, the issue was just missing ingredients (my burrito did not have cheese or corn, and the side sauces of Sour Cream, BBQ sauce and salsa were missing). But last time was even worse; I didn't open my order until I got home and I was given someone else's food and had to go all the way back to complain. The time before that my chips and queso were missing, and so on. I can see a mistake happening once in a blue moon, but the restaurant is never that busy when I go - so how does this happen every time? My opinion is that is that the employees need to slow down and carefully read the orders. It's really unacceptable when the burritos are expensive ($13) for them to be missing half the ingredients. Hope to see...
Read moreI ordered food through the website, and when I got to my destination I realized my bowl was given to me as a burrito instead. There is no way to call the store directly (just links to order food or leave a message for the company to reply to in 1-2 business days), so I drove back.
I had to explain the situation twice, and give back the burrito (that I had opened and was in my possession for 40 min). I’m not sure if they were going to throw out, which is a waste of food or provide it to staff? Just seemed odd.
An individual quickly brought me my bowl, and as I started to pull off I realized I was not given the side of queso that I paid extra for. I had to go back, again, in order to receive it.
We’re all human and make mistakes, but the customer service to rectify the issue was lacking & to not get it right even the second time was frustrating. This was my first experience with Salsa Fresca, and I do not think we will...
