Cabo Cantina — Restaurant in Newport Beach

I went to this place on a Tuesday night 8pm the place was empty. There was a group and one other guy there. First they got mine and my friends orders wrong which wasn’t the end of the world I can live with that. Mistakes happened. I didn’t even wanted to tell them because the food was good regardless. What irk me was the staff! Several times two different waiters kept grabbing our full plates of food without even asking. I had to stop them several times from taking my full plate of food. Didn’t even bother to say are you finish or nothing just grabbed the plate and walked away. I had to asked them several times to put my plate down I was still eating. Another dude I am assuming the manager refused to give us to go boxes. He said because it was unlimited tacos I couldn’t have one keep in mind I didn’t even eat the two tacos that came with the plate because they kept grabbing my plate.I didn’t even know unlimited tacos was even an option. I just wanted to go because I got tire of the waiters taking my plate away. Overall bad service! If the place was packed I would understand 70% of place was empty and now I know why! Also FYI don’t order their mix drinks they don’t put alcohol in their mix drinks. Don’t plan on staying longer than 10 mins with your food they will...

I had the worst bartender I’ve ever encountered, worse than bartenders at busy nightclubs. I was super excited to try Cabo Cantina for the first time, especially because I love margaritas. I ordered a Green Flash Margarita, which is apparently their signature margarita. I was served just the liquor with no juice added although the description stated it contained pineapple, orange and lemon juice. The drink was impossible to swallow, essentially cough syrup. I apologized to the bartender and asked for something else, stating the drink did not taste like a margarita. Her response? “It’s not a margarita. That’s why you have to actually read the menu to see what’s in it.” I responded by letting her know I’d happily pay for the disgusting concoction she made despite her rude comment but she refused to let me pay for it and made me a plain margarita instead. Don’t EVER make your customers feel stupid. She didn’t even know her own menu but I’m the dumb one who didn’t read it, right? Jeez… would never recommend this place and will never be back. Avoid the female bartender with shoulder length black hair at all costs. Clearly doesn’t care about her job...

I've been in here several times, n never had issues w the service. Leo is totally on top of it, n so is the new guy chris. But on sat night came in w bf bout 10, I called to see wat time they were serving food till n they Said 1030. So we rushed over there to make sure we got there in time. Well we sat at the bar table for at least 15 mins, not one of the 2 waitresses even bothered acknowledging us. 1 of the waitresses walked by us at least 4 tines n even after yelling excuse me she completely ignored us n went outside 2 talk to the host for bout 15 mins. So my bf goes to the bar, n the bartender who is standing there cinversating w another customer completely ignores my bf , didn't even acknowledge him, so after bout 10 mins standing there my bf was passed n said sumthing to him. Jst completely rude, n out of line. Not good customer service at all. We had to flag down another waitress to be helped. Never been treated the way they treated us at any restaurant I've ever been to. N I've been to alot. That will b the last time we ever...
