HAPPY LEMON — Restaurant in Newport Beach

I really like this place. I ordered the Fresh Passionfruit Mango Green Tea with 50% sweetness and boba, and just like always, it was very very delicious. Even though it’s located in a food court and had a small line, we didn’t wait long.

Whenever we visit the Fashion Island food court, I usually pick up a boba from here. I forgot what I ordered last time, but I got some kind of milk tea with less sugar, less ice, and boba. I felt like the tea was a too strong and didn't blend well with the milk. Maybe it was the Jasmine Green Milk Tea.

However this time, I got the Boba Milk Tea with Puff Cream with light ice and light sugar. And I have no complaints whatsoever, my drink was so delicious. It had the perfect sweetness level for me, boba consistency was nice and chewy. The milk tea was very tasty, it all blended together so well. For me, the drink nailed the "sweet but not too sweet" component perfectly.

There wasn't a long line when I went up to order around noon. Service was good and pretty quick. Like I said before, I have no complaints and I'll be back...

I tried their fresh squeezed lemon jasmine green tea. The tea itself was delicious but I would definitely avoid all of their "add ons". I added Boba and egg pudding to my drink. The Boba was not fresh at all, likely made the previous day with hard center and mucus like outside (evidence of being refrigerated and not fresh). The egg pudding was hard like hard tofu with the typical "pudding skin" of clearly old pudding. Service was good, nice and polite staff. But clearly they don't use fresh ingredients.
