I was excited to shop at the Alo store and had already spent almost $700 on my purchase. After paying, my boyfriend was still shopping, and I was helping him pick out a jacket near the mirror. While trying one on, a sales associate came up to me, glared, and aggressively asked if a shirt she took off a rack was mine.
I had been browsing a lot of items, so I paused to remember, but instead of being patient, she spoke to me with a nasty attitude, saying, āYou guys shouldnāt try things on here,ā in front of other customers.
She also made a comment accusing people of not putting items back properly ā making me feel like I was being treated like an employee or a problem, even after I had already completed a major purchase.
I felt extremely embarrassed, uncomfortable, and disrespected. After spending that much money, I expected to be treated with basic courtesy ā not suspicion and attitude. Because of how I was made to feel, I decided to put everything else back and leave the store.
Even if there was a misunderstanding, there is a right way to speak to customers. This experience was incredibly disappointing and ruined what should have been an enjoyable visit. I hope Alo management addresses this, because no customer ā especially one who supports the brand ā should be treated like...

But i do occasionally stop in to the store to buy gifts or grab something I need immediately. The brand gets 5 stars. I know why they get so many 1 star reviews. The sales staff doesnāt really help you with the clothing on the floor, finding sizes, suggesting outfits and giving shoppers individual attention. Not sure if management cares to train their staff to engage. They are all really attractive young people though. Heavy turnover of staffers, which may explain why everyone working there is kind of aloof.
On top the that, when you do grab what you want of this extremely inflated athletic womens line, the checkout process takes forever. Thereās one line running down the middle of the store, and only 1-2 cashierās who for some reason keep you in line forever. Even if thereās only 2 people ahead of me, i will stand in line for at least 20-30 minutes. So I will opt to get stuff online to avoid that...

The first time, was when I made the initial purchase,April 23rd, at that time the staff said they were out of bags but marked my receipt and told me to come back later with that receipt to claim the bag. When I came the second time, in May, a woman told me she was a manager and said they had run out of stock again, it seemed more like she didn't want to service me because I didn't buy anything that day, I had just come for the bag. I asked her can I go to another location and sheās said No! I feel something is not right here, but ok, I will try again. I come back today, June 16, I asked for help and that's a met new staff she's couldn't decide what I asked then she ran to that same manager who once again refused to help and told her to tell me you not allowed anymore, no longer can get a free bag.!!
