Newport Village Pizza — Restaurant in Newport

If I could give this negative stars, I would. The pizza is okay, but the horrible customer service is not worth it. I called and ordered 2 large pizzas. When I got there, a half hour after I had ordered, my food still wasn't ready. I asked if I could pay while I waited and got immediately dismissed. (They weren't even that busy) I proceeded to wait for another 45 minutes for 2 freaking pizzas and watched multiple customers walk in and out. I was getting more frustrated by the minute. Eventually I got my food and left. Well I made the mistake of not checking my pizza. I ordered 1 half cheese half pineapple and 1 bacon, sausage, and burger. What I got was a pizza covered in onions with little to no bacon and sausage. I also got my half cheese half pineapple. When I tried to call back for them to make me a new one, the line was busy for over an hour, and 100+ attempted calls. Eventually I just went there. The owner was extremely rude when I told her my situation. The whole process took about 2 and a half hours. I got a refund for the 1 pizza, but not a single apology and even the cook was rude and told us "you try making pizza on a Friday night." When I was leaving he also said "bye Felicia" as I was walking out the door. I cannot believe the lack of customer service. It seems this generation continues to show us complete idiocy and lack of respect. Definitely not impressed and will not go back...

I tried to order a gyro. The lady cautioned that it could take 40 minutes. I was stunned. She then asked if I wanted just the sandwich or the “gyro plate”. With no description of the difference on either the menu or forthcoming from the woman taking my order and the only advertised difference being the price point, I assumed that one was just a sandwich and the so-called plate was the sandwich with fries and a salad or something. It felt like a reasonable assumption since there are no descriptions of ANYTHING here. I was hungry so decided to wait for the plate. Eventually, a plate with a small salad, 4 quarters of a pita and kebab/skewer things was placed in front of me. See my photo. I tried the meat skewer and didn’t like it. I was ready to cry. I JUST wanted a gyro. A regular gyro like you find served all over the place. Sliced meat with tomato, onions and tzatziki sauce IN a pita. I was not going to wait another 40 minutes for something new. They at least refunded the dish. Village Pizza, your menu needs descriptions!!! My husband’s calzone was good and salvaged the situation. Their tomato sauce isn’t as good as it used...

So on Saturday I ordered and I worked long 12 hour day I was told a half hour for 2 grinders I got there and my food wasn't ready so I sat down and fell asleep after I texted my husband and told him that our food wasn't ready. To wait 20 min more......

So normally my husband gets a steak n cheese with onions and mushrooms however due to them making our grinders togather they were ending up in my sandwich which I do not like mushrooms and onions so we began ordering them plain

Today January 22 I ordered two regular steak n cheese grinders paid cash got home and began eatting them to find mushrooms and onions in our grinders. I called and the woman manager was very rude and denied it. Even though I was holding a mushroom in my hand she refused to remake my grinders without the mushrooms and plain. She refused to refund me any money and made a scene infront of everyone calling me a liar All because I don't like mushroom onions or peppers in my steak n cheese grinder. DO NOT EAT HERE TERRIBLE...
