Springline Coffee is hands down the best coffee I've ever had! Stopped in at the the Springline Cafe at Bannisters Wharf, Newport, as I was strolling through town & the cafe is spot on with their coffee. I was impressed with the variety of coffee & food, along with bags of coffee, cups & Springline gear. All this & more in a quaint little shop overlooking Newport harbor. For me, I grabbed an iced coffee & a donut - which was amazing - & started my way back to my boat. Before I reached the end of the dock, I turned around to buy a bag of the Bannisters Wharf blend. This coffee was far too delicious to only have one! My days now start with the Bannisters Wharf blend & get me up & out in the morning. I also purchased the Springline Signature Blend from their website. Really disappointed, a young woman with brown hair was working behind the counter. It’s a Thursday at 4:28pm, she was serving some staff from next door and that’s when the first comment was overheard about “people coming in a half hour before close” She was incredibly rude and had a very bad attitude. I almost wanted to walk out without the coffee I ordered. She made the whole experience extremely uncomfortable. Coming in as a customer just felt like a major inconvenience when we were simply ordering a coffee and croissant. Not to mention her obvious eye rolls and sour looks directed at me. While waiting for our order another customer also agreed the woman was very rude. We in no way mistreated this person, we know the restaurant business and how difficult the public can be.
