Alright, so I am not normally like this. Anyone who knows me knows that I am one of the easiest people of all to please. By the grace of God, I promise this to be true. However, this location has once again disappointed and this time they went too far.
Store #000989 is a relatively new store in a notably convenient location just off highway 150. There is even a vacant field nearby that serves perfectly as commercial vehicle parking. Being a truck driver as both a civilian and Army Reservist, I find this to be especially useful.
What I find to be most inconvenient is the fact that this store rarely has their dining room open, if ever. They have a beautiful, spacious area for customers to enjoy their meals but the doors are almost always locked. All while every other store in the area is one hundred percent open and conducting their business as usual.
Today, my friend and I thought we were lucky. The front door said āopenā and we saw someone eating inside directly in the center of the room. However, we found it strange that the front door was locked. I checked the other side by the drive-thru and there was a to-go box wedging the door open. We thought the customer must of came in this way and proceeded inside.
When I got to the counter, the woman who took my order looked quite surprised to see me. She asked how I came in and I answered with another question: āAre you trying to keep us out?ā She said that they were down to four associates and had to close their dining room once again. Nevertheless, she let us stay inside anyway.
As it turns out, that box was wedged in the doorjamb to keep the door open by a crack just for the employees. We saw two more employees trying to enter this way, making it more than four like they claimed.
There was also trash scattered throughout the dining area. It looked as if no one had eaten there for months. The food was good but the drinks were awful. They tasted as if the machine had not been cleaned or sanitized in a very long time.
In the end, I seriously doubt I will come back to this location. The management has made it quite clear they do not want to serve anyone if it involves manual work. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to consider that semi trucks cannot fit through a drive-thru. There is plenty of room for me to park and turn around nearby but it is of little use if I cannot come in.
Before the pandemic, I only saw a food establishment reduced to ādrive-thru onlyā one time. It was the Burger King in Boone, NC and it was because the weather was severely icy and only the manager made it in.
That was perfectly acceptable. What has gone on at this Bojangles location almost since its grand...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to this location for years. The one piece of advice that I would give to prospective customer would be: ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BAG. They might give you all of your food, but they will forget the sauce. Or you may get everything you ordered minus one item. You should always ask for extra silverware because itās almost guaranteed that they will forget to put some in the bag unless you do. Generally, everyone is nice and somewhat well mannered - but the consistent inconveniences of having to drive back to get sauces-or the occasional macaroni, is the reason for the 3 Star rating. I have never made consecutive trips where everything that I ordered and or asked for was in the bag. Itās always ALMOST all correct. If they could fix this. I would give 4 Stars.
Lastly - the Artificial Intelligence ordering system is so not worth the hassle. Might as well order inside if you donāt like talking to robots. Or being up sold on every new item they are offering.
Food is good though. š¤£
UPDATE: The manager on duty is extremely sweet. When driving back through to retrieve items left out, she added a couple of freebies and up sized an additional macaroni for me. So that was nice.
UPDATE 2: Susan is the GM. She has since made everything right so I have decided to add a star and give this location 4 stars due to her dedication in fixing the issues. She has re trained some of her staff and has been willing to go above and beyond to make my experience a more positive and memorable experience. I appreciate your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am tired of having to return to this location because our order has been wrong this is our 5th time when we have gone to drive thru and it is wrong. This time I'm more upset because I actually had to pull up and wait 10 minutes on white meat! I ran an erand and came home changed into my comfy clothes called the family in to enjoy the family variety feast only to open the box to and 8 piece dinner. I called immediately and asked for a manager the lady that answered said she was one. I explained what happened and she said that I could come back for my order (you think!!) I drive up it wasn't actually ready she was quick though. I handed her the incorrect food which she said you can keep it. I said no I didn't want it she appeared offended but took it then gave me mine with another I'm sorry! I heard her say she didn't want it I guess referring to the food I did not need nor want. Someone should really address this location. It's sad since it's a popular spot among our community. I would rather drive 30 seconds up the road to KFC who may try harder to get things right and certainly I hope are more sincere in their apology. I value my time especially after a long...
