My experience here on 7-10-25 was just okay--definitely not the worst, but not somewhere I'd be in a hurry to return to.
We arrived around 2:30 PM to take advantage of the lunch specials, but it took a minute for our server to even come to the table. By the time she got to us, it was just past 2:30, and we were told we'd have to pay an extra dollar to order off the lunch menu. That was disappointing because we were already seated before the cutoff--just hadn't been helped yet.
I ordered the Fajita Trio and a Blue Raspberry Margarita. The margarita was tasty and definitely had me feeling good before my entrée came out. My food was good, no real complaints there.
My spouse's experience was not as smooth. He has a cheese allergy and asked for no cheese sauce on the El Volcán. expected. The green bell pepper wasn’t fried as requested. When the food arrived, it still didn't look appealing to him, and he decided he didn't want it. He didn't eat any of it, just examined the dish, but when we asked to switch, the waitress made it seem like it would be an issue--almost like the request to remove the cheese was the reason they didn't want to take it back. She told us she had to go ask the cook or whoever was in the back before deciding if the switch could happen, which felt unnecessary given that the plate wasn't touched. In the end, they let him switch. He asked to replace it with the lunch special burrito, and to just reuse the same steak from the previous dish to avoid making a big deal. He said the burrito was fine, but next time he knows not to get the red tomato sauce on top because it made the burrito messy and hard to pick up.
The guy at the front was nice and professional, but the waitstaff service was uneven. Our original waitress didn't even finish serving us because she went on break in the middle of our meal--which I found strange. In my opinion, good customer service means seeing your table through before stepping away. Thankfully, our second waitress (a lady in a red shirt with a ponytail) was very friendly and attentive. I really wish we had her from...
Read moreThis local place to me has been open for awhile now, but I hesitated to go. Mexican food is usually either good or not to me, with little wiggle room for mediocre or just ok. With that said I was pleasantly suprised! The service was a little slow (although courteous) but the food quality was good. We ordered individual cheese dips for each kid. They dont share well and a chori cheese dip for us. They make the chori fresh so it took awhile, but was delicious! My son and I ordered the burrito tipicos and they come in pairs. We each wanted a steak one and a chicken one, but when they came out one of us had two chicken and one of us had two steak because she couldn't figure out how to put it in, no problem we switched it up. My little one practically cleaned her kids enchilada plate. Husband got the fajitas trio, no rice, no beans add extra guac salad. The waitress didnt bring him any guac salad or tortillas, which was odd. Lucky for us I had sent him to the store for low carb wraps, so we pulled out our own but we were planning on letting the kids have the flour ones...didnt bother asking where they went to. Finally got a guac salad and didn't bother about the extra as everyone was getting full. Even with all the hiccups the staff were pleasant and the food was good enough to go back. Looking...

But the bill was under 50 dollars so I did not complain much. We ordered call in orders after that and the consistency was never the same. And, some how it cost more with less food and no mixed drinks. HOW? This last time was the final straw. I received soggy tacos, and I had to go back to get them because they were forgotten. Next, my order was more expensive than normal, no explanation. And my order, which is normally enough to share between 2 people was less than half the container full. It was also burnt and gross. Instead of offering to fix it the so called manager argued me and didn't want to give me my money back. She was also snotty and told me its not a mistake she made. Well it is, you're supposedly in charge of everyone for the night. Finally I was told I could have a refund, and didn't have to bring the food back. Well I took the food back so they can learn from their mistakes of what not to serve. And to know, if I ask for a refund its because I'm really not eating your food that looks like it was someone...
