Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Newton

I grew up in Newton, Mississippi when I was younger and unfortunately, since I've come back from grad school, the quality and service of restaurants have drastically gone down...I've lived in several different states over the years due to school and I must say that thankfully, whenever I've gone to a Jack's, the quality is ALWAYS top tier—this Jack's is no different and it is a diamond amongst most of the other restaurants in Newton, which often seem to be out of something, "on hold", etc.

Jack's is one of only TWO restaurants here in Newton where you can actually buy a salad and that is a blessing—I know this is a small town, but Newton should at least have 3-4 fast food restaurants that offer salads, as a healtheir food option; nevertheless, I am thankful that this Jack's has taken that need into consideration. Also, they have tasty burgers, Fried Chicken/Chicken Tender meals that I didn't even know about, and the best part...they are never "out" of chicken/tenders, like other restaurants nearby who have it as one of their main items 👀.

Currently eating one of Jack's delicious girlled chicken salads, that I ordered a few seconds ago from their always-freindly and prompt staff and I simply want to say...thank you Jack's for being top tier, from state to state 🙌🏽!

Side note...If yall decided to add boiled eggs as a toping for these salads, I would be have no problem paying more for them...

They had a LONG wait and they wouldn't sell me what I wanted to purchase (nasty when I say nasty I mean nasty attitudes) I wanted a 8 piece all dark meat meal and they stated they couldn't in anyway do that! I asked them even if it was a purchase of a upcharge and they denied selling it to me that way so I asked with politeness once again if I could buy two separate boxes with ALL DARK MEAT and they still denied me with a negative response to why they couldn't and also their nasty attitudes (they was all laughing in the inside NOT paying one mind to their customers) This place is always COMPLETE JOKE! I will NEVER eat there again (or should I say try to order from there!) This is the Newton location and I apologize for a negative response and review (but I tell how it goes and the truth) it's really sad I went to kfc/tocabell and I received the same order just fine (keep in mind with only one person at register a cook and one other human they STILL MADE MY FOOD HOW I ORDERED and asked for it) I did NOT give negative attention to the attitudes or return the issues with them! God don't like ugly! Not what I wanted or expecting when awake for 26hrs and got alot going on in my life! This was supposed to be my dinner after a late night/whole day at the er with my family! I appreciate this business but if I'm to EVER eat it again it WILL NOT be...

The food is good but the service is lacking. Managers are always different. Cody so far has been the best customer service oriented one.

Today I stood there 10 minutes watching them try to figure out how to navigate 3 customers in the lobby who were waiting for food and the drive thru. One customer finally said "Yall have just now dropped the chicken for my biscuit and I have to go to work now. I'll be by at lunch for my refund." She left. The man behind me said I'm already late now so I'll just wait. After another 3 minutes, I Finally I asked if they were taking any new orders. She politely responded, we can only take 3 at a time. Then we fill them first. I replied, I understand that, but it would be nice to atleast acknowledge the 5 of us waiting in line for your cashier. Even a "one moment, please." would be nice. She again apologized and asked me how I was this morning.

Like I mentioned, the managers are always nice, but the store lacks customer service. The customers of Newton appreciate the option of Jack's, but amazingly it has succumbed to the same poor service levels the older establishments have in such...
