Zook's BBQ Barn — Restaurant in Newtown Township

Zook’s does a pig roast outside every Saturday in the summer and it’s quite an experience if you like pork. Pulled pork super tender, moist, and not fatty. Pro tips: spend a little extra on the sauce. Their meat is well seasoned but the sauce takes it to a whole new level. It’s lightly tangy, salty, sweet but doesn’t overwhelm the pork. We got a sandwich and 2 lbs Togo (one for us and one for family). Price is reasonable and what a delicious bite. Highly recommend coming on Sat for this. There’s always a long line but moves fast. They take credit card too so you don’t have to scramble...

The chicken I got here today had been under the heat lamps so long it was barely edible, most of it was dried to a crisp. The beef had little flavor, but I got it because they offer it without the BBQ sauce. Not everyone likes BBQ sauce! The BBQ pork is great pork, but there's too much sauce, and they don't serve it by itself. I've had it when they cook a pig on premises and it's phenomenal, so please offer the pork...

This was our first time back since COVID, and it was worth the trip, we got bbq chicken, Mac and cheese, bbq ribs, mashed potatoes with gravy, Old bay baked chicken, delicious and they are very friendly and good service. I was so happy to see that they are still around. Oh and there was a crowd of people waiting for food, but it wasn't too long before you were placing your order....
