They sold me a Jet pack to use at our summer home. We needed something for we had limited internet service there. I said I needed unlimited and power to stream movies. They said this would do it. So I spent $264.00 and $80/month. Three days of using it (and it worked great) till it slowed down to the point it didn’t work half the time.
Then we got this email: Your VZ JETPACK 4G LTE MHS AC791L with mobile number ending in $&@? has reached its 15 GB high-speed Mobile Hotspot allowance. Your monthly data allowance will reset on the 8th with your next billing cycle.
What happens now? Your Mobile Hotspot data speed has been reduced, so you'll get up to 600 Kbps for the rest of the Bill cycle.
So I called Verizon directly and they told me I was sold a bill of goods. That I should never been told that this would work for streaming movies. That that’s not what this is used for. So then I took it back to the store and showed the salesman the email. He said to me I should’ve read on the Internet before I came to the store to buy it and it was my responsibility to get my facts straight. When I told him that was his job, he got annoyed with me. I believe he just wanted to sell the product because he sure didn’t give me any of the information that he admitted to knowing about. Thank God I did not go with the 2 year contract. The salesman was not only unwilling to admit he was wrong, but he was down right rude to me. His name is: Jay Kumar and I’d stay away from this...
Read moreThis updated review is supplemental to the original review I posted in January. Landon, Gary and Jed work as a competent team at the Newtown Verizon Wireless Store and they have all helped us to transition back to Verizon from AT&T and TMobile. After explaining our needs they initially walked us through the various plan options- explaining / contrasting how each would impact our expected use. Next they went above and beyond to help set up our devices (iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches) and explained how to redeem the various applicable promotions we were entitled to receive. After all our devices were set up we were encouraged to stop back if we had any problems or questions. We have done so on a number of occasions and they continue to excel in providing outstanding customer service. It’s great to have a neighborhood store staffed with knowledgeable professionals to go to. I’m not a great fan of Verizon’s apparent preferred methods of providing customer support (frustrating automated phone bots and on-line chat) and much prefer the efficiency of having a knowledgeable person respond to questions and find solutions to resolve...
Read moreI have been a Verizon Wireless customer for 22 years. I have always gone to a company store, however in light of the long lines I went to Your wireless in Newtown. Prior to the sale they were prompt to get back to you. However I have had several issues and their customer service is terrible, They never get back to you. In ordering my I Phone seven I had to wait several weeks for it to come in. After a month I called only to be told my phone came in two weeks prior. I called for my rep Prateek and left several messages with NO return calls. I called this past Monday regarding not getting my full trade in value and David said he could not help me. I had to resolve this on my own. THIS IS NOT WAHE I WAS TOLD DURING THE SALE, THEY SAID THEY WOULD RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I asked David who was the manager and he gave me the number of Ramman Oberoy, who he said was the Regional Manager, I called him on Monday 1-30-2017 asking for a return call, and as of Thursday , he has not had the courtesy to call me back. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED.
In light of all the bad service I will deal with a company store...
