The restaurant was very clean (Around 7:55 PM / Aug 10). The lady taking orders was very patient and helpful with a nice attitude. Food was good and sandwiches had plenty of meat. I tried the regular chili, as a side with my sandwich, which again was good but nothing special. The same person that took orders came to the table, checked on drinks and provided refills. Overall it is a nice deli, by looks and service.
However, one major RED FLAG, the same very nice person that took orders was refilling the cup dispenser behind the counter. Somehow, she dropped 15-20 cups on the floor. She picked the cups up, stacked them on the counter, proceeded to get a new sleeve of cups and finish filing the dispenser. Then put the cups that had been on the floor in the empty sleeve and put them back under the counter. A few things made me think this person was a new employee. After being so nice, I didn’t want to cause a big issue for her. I called the woman over that was the manager on duty and quietly told her about the incident. Her explanation caused the RED FLAG. She explained that sometimes the packages burst and when it happens to her, she “USUALLY” throws the cups away. I was astonished, said nothing else. Read moreThis place is a joke. Placed an online order at 12:25, my email said it would be ready at 12:40. My husband arrive at 12:50, had to stand in line for 5 minutes, finally was able to tell someone he had a pick order and it took him another 10 minutes of standing there to get our food. So finally, 40 minutes after I ordered and 25 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready we got our food. I tried calling while he was standing there and no one answered. I'm sure my soup will be nice and cold. Don't waste your time at this location, it'd be faster to drive to fort walton or destin to get your food.
Based on any lack of response to the negative reviews by management I'm going to assume they don't care. If you are leaving a bad review right now you should also contact their corporate office because it will probably be the only way the issues will be addressed.
Update: husband got home with the food, he got a king club which had all of meat and cheese on one side and nothing but Lettuce on the other, this is not how this is made. Also, first bite of my cold chili and I'm pulling a long dark hair out of my mouth. Honestly, someone should probably call the health department on this place because with all these issues I'm sure things in the back...
Read moreI ordered a BLT+A (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avacado) - which is an item on their menu, not a special order - and received a club sandwich (cheeses, ham, turkey, mustard, etc.) When I said that the club was not what I ordered the food runner told me that it WAS, in fact, a BLT+A because the club ALSO included those four ingredients in addition to the rest of the ingredients. I told him that a BLT+A is ONLY those 4 ingredients, not the additional ones. He went to the kitchen window to tell the cook and I followed to ask for silverware for my boyfriend, since he walked away without providing it. I overheard the cook tell him, "it has bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avacado on it. Send it back and tell her that's what she ordered." They refused to just give me my correct order.
Because we were headed to the airport, I didn't have time to argue further and get my correct order, so I instead had to eat what I was given.
Needless to say, we will not be returning. Just wanted others to be aware of the "service" provided here.
