Daily Donuts — Restaurant in Nicholasville

Not a gd exp. for me this morning. I got there really early, tell the guy exactly what I wanted which was a variety of mix donuts which I selected. 3 Cinnamon Twist, Cinnamon Roll, Blueberry and Apple fritter. I pd $7.94/½ dozen. I get home, settle in & open the box & he put the wrong donuts in my box. So, I've gotta go bk out now its pouring rain go inside & tld him he had gave me 3 caramel long johns, I wanted 3 cinnamon twist/braided donuts which I pointed to at the store the 1st x. So, the lady comes out & I tell her & She grabs the box takes out the 3 caramel & put the 3 I was suppose to have the 1st x then tells me tht will be $1.59 extra.😳 So, the fact I had to drive bk to the store in the pouring rain because they got my order wrong. Thn want to charge me an extra $1.59 for the 3, I was supposed to get the 1x. Bad Customer Service!! u dnt charge a customer who gets home to find u all messed up their order more $. I think paying $7.94 for ½ dozen is plenty but charge me more when I hv to drive all the way bk because my order is wrong. Never sd sorry for the mistake but sd tht will be $1.59 extra. WOW 🤯 & I dnt even like caramel long johns so I wld hv NVR tld him I wanted 3 🍩 I dnt even eat. I ❤️ this place. They have the best bacon, egg & cheese crossiants in this town. They are to die for my #1 go too besides the blueberry or apple fritters & cinnamon twist. Their 🍩 & caramel have had this weirdest taste last cpl times sole reason I stopped eating thm. I wld have given 5 stars but to me this is bad customer service. Future reference never upcharge your customer who's order u messed up & they have to drive bk for u to fix. I love daily donuts! My in-laws and bonus family were in town visiting from Detroit, and we wanted something different than our norm. We ordered a variety of sandwiches and a nice selection of donuts to take back to the house. Everyone at Daily Donuts has always been extremely kind. We got home and realized we were missing a sandwich. I called over to see if they still had it. They said they tried to chase after the car once they realized we left a sandwich there. It was still nice and warm. They apologized and gave an extra treat.

They did nothing wrong, but they still went above and beyond. Since then, we've been returning with the family just because of how pleasant they are. It's a bonus that the food and donuts are better, in my opinion, than Krispy Kreme. 😲 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒The fire department seems to like going there also. Best yeast donuts in the area, hands down. Their cake donuts are decent, but something about their yeast donuts gives them the perfect texture and taste that other donut places rarely achieve. A friend of mine says they make them fresh throughout the day, which would make sense because they just taste better. I would recommend a long John with white cream, custard, or cheese cream (like in a danish) filling, which they will make for you if they don’t have any out. Their apple fritters and bear claws are also fantastic. If you’re hungry for something more substantial, their breakfast sandwiches are fairly filling and reasonably priced.
