I ordered 2 chicken lo mein, a side of shrimp fried rice, and a sweet and sour chicken during lunch hours. I spent $21.57 on, literally, the worst asian cuisine I have ever had. The rice was orange in color, awful tasting, and it was not tender at all. The vegetables we're frozen peas and carrots that we're very tough. It did not taste like any kind of stir fry I've had. It was dry and unappealing in appearance and flavor. The shrimp fried rice was completely without seasoning and flavor. It seemed like it was nuked in the microwave. Several of the pieces of chicken from the sweet and sour chicken we're too hard to get my fork into. I was told by Lin when I called about my order on 8/7/19 that I could get a refund or replacement when I came back to Nicholasville, as I live in Lexington. Today, 8/27/19, I found out that Lin told me a lie and they will not honor it. I always enjoy Wah Mei in Lexington and was hoping to get my order replaced and discover that the meal I got was a fluke. Sense I won't be doing business with this restaurant again, I decided to go ahead and leave my review based on that experience. You'd be better off buying a frozen stir fry kit. Seriously, do not waste...
Read moreI want to start this review by saying, I never leave bad reviews at restaurants. The only reason I’m doing this is because it truly was the worst tasting Asian food I have ever eaten. My husband and I eat Asian food quite a bit as it’s one of our favorites and we decided to try a new place. The chicken tasted burnt and hard. So hard my fork wouldn’t even go through some pieces. The rice was cold and crunchy and the vegetables in the rice weren’t even cooked. The food had almost no flavor at all. It almost had the taste of leftovers, like it had been reheated from a couple days ago. Even the fortune cookies were stale! Very disappointing to spend 20 dollars on food only to throw it all away (and if you know me, I NEVER throw away chicken and fried rice). Needless to say, we won’t be coming back here again, and if you’re reading this, I recommend you try somewhere...
Read moreHighly Recommended Wah Mei, 102 Edgewood Drive, Nicholasville. . Definitely a 5 star Restaurant with Fantastic Food. Fresh, Fragrant, Sweet & Sour is Sweet and Sour. Rice and vegi's are always fresh. Love the crab Rangoon! We find that the Owners are very willing to work with us for large orders for business lunch or dinner. They care about the quality of their foods. I especially like Wah Mei egg rolls and their Chicken Teriyaki. No problems when asking for a little extra soy sauce! The complete dinners are always fresh as well as the sides. Definitely give them enough time to make things happen for a company event. Wah Mei will make sure things happen for you, your family or business. We have had many years of great dining experience. Go and experience for yourself. Again, Highly...
