Average food. The steak fajitas didn't have very much seasoning & were a bit bland. My friend got a burrito and said the same thing. I will say, we got the double order of fajitas for 2 people and it was a very generous portion. There was enough there for probably 4 people. They give you 1 free basket of tortilla chips but charge for any additional chips, which is unusual. I can understand doing that for people who don't order food, or having a minimum $ requirement in order to receive free chips, but when you spend as much as we did on food I feel like they shouldn't charge for an extra basket of chips. The service was quick. It wasn't very busy, we were seated quickly and received our food pretty fast. Our server wasn't exactly rude but wasn't very friendly either ( I don't think he smiled at all). This place is really good. I've been eating at Los Dos Amigos going on almost twenty years now. It's always good. The owner is friendly and makes sure his store is consistently a great choice in a town with 4 other Mexican restaurants.

My go to order for dining in or take out is the Steak Chimichanga and an order of chips and salsa and maybe extra queso. The portion sizes here are excellent you can ask for a to go box and feel like you got plenty for the price. Their rice with beans are always perfect. The salsa is great. The Chicken California Burrito is always awesome. The enchiladas! They have a lot of good stuff.

Opted to try this place with Fiesta Mexico being busy, and I kinda wish I would've waited for FM. The waitress didn't seem like she spoke much English, she took a while to even come get our drink orders. It also took far too long to take our food orders, despite the fact they weren't busy in the slightest. Food wasn't fast to come out, but it was fairly decent. Not bad, but not impressive, especially considering the other problems. If you're going to come here, I'd recommend it being for take-out, but Nicholasville has plenty of other good Mexican...
