America's Best Wings — Restaurant in Norfolk

So I've heard multiple mixed reviews about this place and after going 3-4 times I understand. The first order I had (full wings) was not good. I also bought a 75 piece wing and shared with my office which we all loved. There's a flavor for any taste palette.

I have since tried the grilled fish and wing plate - my go to - and can say that it's a good balance of flavor, and nutrition including fries and rice with options of other sides. I've only also tried the fried okra which was decent. Surprisingly they also serve a pretty good Philly.

Below is what takes this place down to a 3 or 2 star establishment.

In my times visiting I have spoken to the staff and noticed some push back towards customers. They will only give you minimum sauce (ranch/blue cheese) and have seen attitude from the Bengali guy. The last encounter a customer complained about not having enough cucumber on her salad, he grabbed the salad and moved it around with a fork to show there was cucumber in the salad and told her $.50 for more cucumber. She left and stated she'd be leaving a review. In my opinion this was unsanitary and unprofessional.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE EVERYTHING: Let me start by saying that this was the worst choice ever. The young lady whom had a mouth full of GOLD was totally unprofessional and rude from the time I walked in. I was greeted with “ YOU CAN’T COME IN HERE WITHOUT A MASK”!!! Which was understandable, but on the other hand unfair due to her not following the policy herself. In fact ,none of the employees had mask on in the entire store. When my food was ready no one made an attempt to notify although I sat right in front of the store after placing my order which was asked of the customer by the ESTABLISHMENT. The food smelled GREAT, however it tasted more like CLEANING SUPPLIES. The meat was drier than TUMBLE WEED. The CLASSIC CLUB SUB was just as bland as the CHICKEN WINGS. The sandwich meat tasted cheap, it wasn’t made right and the cashier failed to inform me that it would be made with TURKEY BACON. Poor customer service all the way around. I order through grub hub 60$... extra for all flats and 2 Oreo cheesecakes ... it arrived drums and flats and 1 cheesecake. Manager says they don’t deliver and I would have to call the person that delivered it to return to the store ... for free when it wasn’t her fault.. and offered an extra cheesecake and 1 drink. Or I could go get it myself and if I wanted to do that I would have in the first place. I’m weird about chicken and don’t eat drums so 15 wings will be wasted. I expected for someone to read the ticket correctly and my food to be expected as I purchased. And the cheesecake they sent was the smallest sliver I’ve ever seen.
