District Taco — Restaurant in Norfolk

Delicious food, but terrible service. I visited District Taco in Norfolk yesterday around 6:45 pm, and what should have been a quick, easy dinner turned into a frustrating experience. Here’s where the problem began: there was an employee on the line—a girl with short hair and a hat. When our ticket printed and the machine started beeping, she completely ignored it. Instead, she stood there holding her phone in one hand and half-heartedly wiping something down with the other, showing zero interest in helping. Finally, another employee came back out from the back and started making our order. She was the only one actually working while her coworker just stood by, uninterested. Even though we were the only customers in the restaurant, we still had to wait 10 minutes for our food. The girl making our tacos was polite and apologized for the wait, but she should never have been left to handle everything on her own. This is a customer service job, you cannot run a restaurant with one person working and another scrolling on their phone. That’s poor management. Food not good. Manager in charge very rude. It was the worst experience with my family. Wish I could say something better about this place - but it was my third and final time giving this place a chance. Came there the other day for lunch. Each time I have been here, the service is abrupt, rude and impersonal. Sales person unfriendliness and non-happy behavior put our first experience very bad even the order fulfilling manager (idk if she is cause she is the only one wearing different color. It was YELLOW, i think the name is “Rose or Rosa”) was not helpful at all. She talked very rude and unprofessional. How do you hire people like that?? Worst customer service ever. We placed order with a cashier my husband loved his burrito. I ordered a bowl and was very disappointed. It had zero seasoning and the meat was super dry. They messed up my husbands and put guacamole on it. One of the employees came over and looked at our receipt to see if it was put in correctly. The information on the receipt was not what we asked the cashier for, but instead of apologizing, she asked us did we take our cups for drinks or did we ask for them because the cashier did not charge us for them. I did offer to pay for them After I looked at the receipt and realized she did not charge us for them. The employee said no. The drink machine was completely empty of all drinks except for a HA and sugar-free. I was not impressed at all.
