I give Fellini's one star for the managerial service. We went there as a party of 10 arriving at 6:30 p.m. We did not get our food until around 7:45 p.m.. My 10 year old son did not get his food until 15 mins after that, which was close to 8:00 p.m. And that point I asked the waitress that I wanted to speak with the manager because other people had gotten there after us and received their food before us. Plus the waiting was ridiculous. A couple of mins later, she comes back and says that they will not charge us for our son's meal. But I told the waitress that it was not about getting a free meal and I still wanted to talk to the manager. But the manager, Brett, never came and brushed us off which speaks volume of his managerial skills. He would rather be at the bar talking to people ordering finger food and drinks than to talk to a table that was easily spending over $300. Our waitress, Emily, was wonderful and attentive and also very apologetic. I believe that it was not fair for Emily to deal with issues that the manager, Brett, should have been addressing and taking care of since it is his duty to address any concerns from paying customers. I also believe that since we were the only Hispanic group there, it was a big factor as to why we were treated differently from the manager, Brett. He did not even offer an excuse or apology as to why he would not come to our table since we can clearly see him from where we were seated. This left us baffled that behavior like this continues to happen because of your race. I just want everyone to know that if you are not Caucasian, you will be treated differently. That is what was shown in this experience we had today. This left a very bad taste in our mouths and we will never visit this restaurant ever again. Everyone has been now warned about the manager Brett at Fellini's. Update: As to the reply from the owner, we never said he was sitting down at the bar drinking. We were shown the manager and he was at the bar talking to a customer. We were told that he was notified that we wanted to talk to him. Emily came back and she did not not know what to say to us except that they were not going to charge us for one meal. I told Emily that this was not about getting a free meal; it was about talking to the manager. He never came by our table. We were there a total of 2 hours. I want to make it perfectly clear that he ignored our request to talk to him. Instead he sent Emily to take a meal off the bill. FYI, re-read the review carefully. I guess being Hispanic doesn't pay off at this...

When we got there the restaurant seemed pretty empty. (That's because it was. We didn't know they didn't open until 4.) We just saw the restaurant was there and thought it was perfect since we knew the babies would be hungry. We spent a quick 30 min at the craft fair and went to put the stroller in the car so we could go in to eat. Problem was the restaurant called to have my car towed!!! TOWED!! When I explained to the owner that we were planning to eat there he actually said "no you weren't!" I told him we drove there all the way from Disputanta! He said he didn't care and we should have seen his 1 Miniscule sign on the dumpster and not parked there. Truly we never saw it and we actually looked. What restaurant penalizes their patrons for showing up early?! They were rude and disrespectful and didn't care at all that they caused a heavily pregnant lady and 2 toddler's worry, discomfort, and hunger. But that's OK, we enjoyed a fabulous meal at a place called No Frills Bar and Grill. So don't eat at Fellini's where they don't care about their patrons or the general public. There are other nice restaurants to give your business to. Just don't choose Fellini's.... you may come out of the restaurant to find your vehicle was towed away while you ate!...
Read moreWould give this place 4.25 but Google doesn't allow that. Solid home cooking though I found the sauce's flavors quite melding together as well as I felt it could, like a stew is better the second day. I had the angel hair with meatballs. My wife had linguini with clams. Both ours was a bit too hot for us from red pepper flakes (we think) but still tasty and fresh. My son had their Bernard? pasta with a tomato sauce which was different than mine and shrimp. He felt it was very good. I had a greek salad which was also good. I do think it could have had a different dressing than the house salad though. Sorry for the lack of pictures this time.
The atmosphere was very good and like a small neighborhood mom and pop place (which it is). The wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
Our dessert was carrot cake and tiramisu. Son said the tiramisu was very good. I and my wife's carrot cake (cream cheese icing) was good too though I found it very slightly dry, like it had sat out a bit long in a fridge. They were both homemade!
Cost was pricey but not outrageous. If I hadn't ordered a cider and coffee it would have saved us around 15 with tip, well maybe 13. It looked like the pizza here would be good to order and cheap too, especially if you have ODU game tickets which gives you a discount. They were hand tossing pizza in the kitchen I saw.
Cost with tip came to a smidge over 130 for...
