I have always love this place, the food, everything about it. I love my black owned businesses. I did not want to write this review, but I feel like this needs to be said. I purchased vegan nachos and the pasta. I am allergic to tree nuts and the pasta was made in a cashew sauce. NO WHERE ON THE MENU DOES IT GIVE ANY ALLERGEN WARNINGS. The smoothies are the only thing that lists that it has tree nuts in it because it is made in almond milk. First of all this is a MAJOR health hazard! I told the man who was cooking and he barely acknowledged me. I waited and waited, thinking that maybe once he was finished cooking he would take my pasta back and cook me something else because I had already paid for it. He never even looked back the woman who looked back and who was taking the payment asked me if everything was okay, and I told her I was allergic to "Alfredo" sauce that is made with cashews. I showed her the menu to let her know that there is nowhere on the menu that even mentions tree nuts being in their food. Her exact words was" maybe you can give it to your friend to eat." I was so disappointed, because I am so happy to see a black owned business like this in the community. But the customer service that day was horrible. I will still go out and support, but I was just very...
Read moreI was in VA Beach for the first time to visit my husbands Alma Mater. He is vegan and I am not, but I always love trying new foods. We visited at the end of November & I’m still thinking about how amazing the food was. That is what has lead me here to write a review. I wish these flavors could be brought to Charlotte but it is 100% worth the drive. I asked the very nice man at the counter what he recommends & he said the beast burrito, so that is what I got. It was a beast All right. So flavorful and filling, the sauces were amazing, the texture, EVERYTHING. My husband has been a few times and is in love with the pasta. It was so delicious!! They give huge portions and is worth every penny. We appreciate whoever is the mastermind in the kitchen. We also enjoyed the shop in the front with all of the enlightening books and crystals. My husband is Hebrew and they had tons of books in there that aligned with all of the things he teaches me. We read while we were waiting on our food. Thank you so much for the great experience and wonderful food. We will be...
Read moreRead the other reviews before commenting. I had been meaning to come here for months because I had heard good things and when an offer through my insurance company gave me a coupon in exchange for points, I was glad to finally go. I ordered my food to go. Food took 40 minutes with only one order before me and some people who ordered after me got their food first. The smoothie thing I had was good but very expensive. I finished it before I got my food. I was about to walk out and say screw it because it was taking too long then my food finally was done. Later, I tried to eat my thai pocket but sonething was off about it and I barely ate a sixth of it. Several hours later, I got food poisoning and it was so bad it ruined my evening plans that I was looking very forward to. Four days later, I still feel off. Although I wanted to like the place, I will not be back. I am not one to write bad reviews but the wait time here needs to...
