Hardee’s — Restaurant in Norfolk

This was just all bad. Was here at about 8pm. There was just myself and 3 guests in front of me in line in the restaurant and what looked to me like plenty of staff. All four of us had separate and unrelated problems with ordering that made the four orders take about 15 minutes to all be placed. Now in my opinion the girl taking the orders was new and didn't seem to know anything about how to use the till or the menu. That is not her fault at all! However, the other staff and manager standing around doing nothing and not helping the girl at the counter is what I took issue with. It is absolutely pathetic to watch a trainer allow a trainee to struggle and be to lazy to turn it into a teachable moment. Alas, the girl did get my order wrung in correctly and paid. I get out to my truck to find the chicken sandwich to have pickles on it when it was ordered without. Aside from that it was cold. I then went for my bacon cheeseburger which I assumed would also have pickles on it. This one was warm in the wrapper so started off better, then I unwrapped it to find a completely different burger than what I ordered. It was a mushroom and Swiss I think, really bad taste whatever it was. To conclude the disappointment after discarding my surprise burger, I got into my luke warm medium (paid for large) fries. They were so insanely heavily salted I also had to dispose of them. Coke machine dispensed pure carbonated water inside. In summary, I am out $15, almost 25 minutes of my time, and received almost nothing that was even worth eating...

Was disappointed when I came here after midnight after my shift at work. I come here every other night after work and order the same thing. This time I get home with my food, I don't live far, literally a block away. And I start eating, the fries were hard, most of them and cold and stale. The burger was cold as well, the patty was. You can tell the cheese on it was not just put on the patty cuz it was also dried on the patty. The bun on the bottom of my burger was hard but not the top one? I was so dissatisfied and it tasted off. I could not eat my food. I thought back and was like yeah i got my food way too fast. Literally less than 2 minutes I got my food. I didn't hear no beeping as I would if they were using the fryer. I remember the sound clear as day because in HS I worked at a Carl's Jr. I was so tired I didn't even want to go back. Do better, pls.

Update: today is June 18th 2025 I ordered a double big cheeseburger and they only put one patty in there I could have paid only $3 and something cents for a one Patty burger but I was charged for $6.22 for nothing they need to start doing their job right I'm getting so pissed off. The last time I ordered here I asked for a low carb burger and instead of making a low carb burger they took all the lettuce out and left me with the bread I was so disappointed when I left I'm a truck driver so it's kind of hard to come back and return my food I've been spending so much extra money for them...

I ate here tonight because I've always loved Hardee's Swiss Mushroom melt. But tonight I was extremely dissatisfied by the workers. The guy who took my order hit some keys and said nothing, I had to ask for my total and if I could pay. He pointed at the card machine, ran my card handed me my receipt and walked away. The girl who put my food on the counter flopped the tray on the counter looked at me and walked away. I took my food and sat down dining solo before work. Trying to eat and listen to my audio book, the same girl started putting all the chairs on the tables and stopped and looked at me made a irritated noise and stomped off after putting all the chairs on the tables. She came back with a mop bucket and started mopping looking at me and sighing the whole time. When she got to me she pushed her mop as close to my feet as possible. Floor soapy and very wet. I placed my order at 2044 and walked out at 2104. When I worked for a restaurant we always took into account who was in the dining room and would ask the patrons if they minded if we cleaned up a bit or not while they sat there.
