Target — Local services in Norfolk

Target is my go-to store. But tonight I had an awful experience. I bought some things that we're supposed to warrant a $10 gift card. I didn't get my gift card. I asked the checker man why not, and he said I didn't come up and I could go talk to the service desk. So I went there, and after some searching and getting the manager over and so on and so forth, they said my stuff didn't qualify. I will post a picture. I bought exactly what was required. They told me I should have checked my app. I don't have time to mess with my app when I'm shopping I just want to get it done. I bought two tides at 12.99 each and a Downey at 12.99. just going by the sign, I shouldn't have to check my app to make sure everything is okay. I just read the sign. You would think that they would have made it right...

There was only one checker and the person ahead of me had a BOATLOAD of stuff. When I ask the gal cleaning the self check counters she said nope we only have one checker. My cart was also full of big items which is why I didn't want to self checkout because I needed a large sack and one item needed to be taken off the wedding registry and I wasn't sure I knew how to do that. After standing there 10 minutes and watching no on acknowledge me I finally went to the customer service counter and requested to be checked out, I know she saw me standing there but whatever, she was very nice when she checked me out. Seriously I wanted to get in and out and this was totally unacceptable. BTW the lady that was ahead of me was still checking out after I left and I had alot...

So many things...

1. GREAT staff! Never had a problem with anyone there.
2. They've permanently closed the door to the mall. It's weird. It's off-putting. It's almost like they don't want any of the mall pedestrians.
3. The store has WAY less products for sale in it now than ever since they are using more space for carry-out orders. The items they do have are not what I would normally buy, nor are they at a decent price. While I don't shop at the other store in town, I can order from Amazon and still have my items in 2 days.

If you ask me, it might be time to build a larger Target to properly compete with the other store in town, and then close this one since they aren't going to share with the...
