Taco Bell — Restaurant in Norfolk

I haven’t been to Taco Bell hear in quite some time primarily because they no longer don’t open their dining area(the only place in town to do so) and I despise drive thrus. I had craving though so broke down cuz been wanting to try the double steak grilled cheese burrito What a mistake. I ordered the burrito and two cinnamon twists. Would have ordered more but the menu wasn’t lit up so couldn’t read it well so just ordered my initial reason for going and nothing else There were 3 vehicles in front of me and I waited over 20 minutes for my order. Their only business is in the drive thru and they’re unable to keep up. Pathetic. Now I’ve stopped in the middle of eating this DOUBLE steak burrito to write this review because a person will tolerate a little waiting and overcoat as long as the food is good. I’m six bites…6 BITES into my DOUBLE steak burrito and haven’t hit meat yet. Tortilla and cheese thus far. I can go to McDonalds during the busiest part of the day and have my meal in around 5-6 minutes or can go to the local authentic Mexicanand get a large burrito filled with the meat of choice for the same price and in less than 20 minutes Oh, I wasn’t offered any hot sauce either, just as well mention that also Don’t know who runs or owns this joint but it has taken an extreme dive since the pandemic started and it unfortunate. Worst experience of my life entire life! Where do I begin? Maybe was the fact that my friend and I were starving in the middle of the night after a very long day. When we finally got there we waited in line behind some cars that immediately got their food but when it was our turn to order for some reason the worker suddenly disappeared. We were very polite and waited patiently because we thought he was busy managing the other orders, but we sat there for what felt like eternity in the negative degree weather. After patiently waiting we went up to the window to find the worker hiding behind the counters. After driving around to the menu about four different times we went up to the window to find the workers standing there and this time he replied. He obnoxiously asked us for what we wanted so we began to order. After ordering our food he told us that our order was backed up even though he was the only one there. Being young female adults we feared that he would contaminate our food because of our perseverance. We decided to leave. We wanted to spread the movement...

Twice in 2 months now I have seen these people turn someone away and tell them they need to speak English better if they want help. In that same 2 months I have seen toddlers playing in the kitchen by the hot cooking equipment and heard one customer scold the kitchen staff for dropping f bombs in front of their children. I only keep coming because I have to come here for the work I do. This place is out of control. Staff is racist and management does not care. I have called corporate twice now and nothing has changed. This place is disgusting.

Edit: here for work again and watched an employee walk out of the restroom without washing his hands. He told me he didn't have too because there is a sink in the kitchen area to wash his hands. I know damn well it is not ok to walk thru the restaurant and into the kitchen with unwashed hands after using the restroom. Management still does nothing about these things. This place is gross.
