We went there tonight for the first time. Greeted by two young women who sat us and then went behind the counter and kept looking at their phones the entire time we were there. We sat for about ten minutes before a third, older server came by the booth.
She took our drink order and then disappeared. Another 5-10 minutes went by before she reappeared, we had ordered Cokes and she was the one who had to change out the tank. She took our order and then another fifteen minutes went by before we got our only appetizer, bread bites that were hot but the bottom of the container was a pool of grease and butter. We ate the top layer but passed on the rest. Plates, napkins and silverware didn't come to the table until after the bread had been on the table for a while.
Another 10 minutes go by an our dinner arrives. One was right and the other wasn't. Ordered the smallest pizza, well done with light cheese, got a pizza that was kind of hot but barely cooked through and swimming in cheese. The top of the slices were hot, the bottom weirdly not. Pointed it out to the server who countered with, "Do you want him to remake it?" Pressed for time we passed.
After that our waitress disappeared. We didn't see her again at our table until we had to flag her down to ask for our check. When she rang it up no adjustment offered for the mishap pizza and, conveniently, she preselected a more than 20% tip on the meal which I suppose is one way to make sure you get a great tip. If she does that regularly it's going to turn people off.
The restaurant is clean and seems well put together. We didn't order from the bar which seems well stocked. We were there at around 5:00 but it wasn't that busy when we ordered and the slowness of service didn't help. It's pub food so the grease and cheese is expected but the kitchen blowing off the server's order or the server not telling the kitchen about the order doesn't help. The two young women looking bored and checking their phones seems to be everywhere but the owner could find better staff in this economy who would hustle more for what he is paying.
I think we will try it again but it's going...
Read moreThis used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but our visit tonight will be our last. We frequented this restaurant often and made the effort to support them during the quarantine. Our last phone in order, which had to be paid when ordered was a disaster. We waited the 40 minutes for our order to be ready. We arrived and waited for our order to come out. We had to call again and once again were told it would be out shortly. After waiting over 45 minutes and went in to ask about my order. After frantic searching, I was told my order had been mistakenly given to someone else with their order. I was told that my order would be immediately filled. When I asked for compensation for my now nearly 2 hour wait, I was told my meal cost would be refunded. The problem here is I paid with a gift certificate. The manager told me he would add the amount back on my card. Fast forward to tonight. We went to Joe’s for a hamburger only to find they are no longer a menu item. I chose the chicken tenders which were indeed jumbo, but also pretty tasteless. My wife chose the bacon Mac and cheese, which came in a cheap plastic container. Upon paying with that gift card from before, we find out that our credit from the quarantine pick up order had not been credited. The manager told us she would not cover what another manager was supposed to have done. She was not friendly and never apologized for any mixup. When we told her we were unhappy with the serving of the Mac and cheese she replied they didn’t have bowls. Ok, then why serve things that need bowls if you don’t have them? When we said we probably would not be back, she replied, “That’s OK.” What happened to this restaurant? Our greeter and sever were very friendly and helpful, the manager was not. I felt disrespected. Very...
Read moreThis was a horrible experience. The worst we have ever had in a blo/no restaurant. We ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, I had one bite of and spat it into my tissue and my husband had a bite and spat it into a tissue. It was SO SALTY, not slightly but like get someone throwing up salty. We also ordered bone in wings - it tasted raw and you could still see holes in the chicken skin and there was zero seasoning or salt on it. I asked for Garlic Parmesan and got a tub of butter - the waitress said our garlic parm sauce is butter. What? I ate two bites (not full wings just two bites) of all 8 wings. They charged us full price for food they took back that we took two bites out of. The waitress never checked on us once, the front check in lady came to get our food 10min into our meal after she had been playing with someone’s hair (gross!!) (we wanted to let our 3 year old eat his mac and cheese but she was trying to get us out while our 3 year old was still eating - again we had our food for like 10min) When the waitress came over to give our bill she asked us everything okay and I told her our concerns and she says “well did you speak to the manager” while she stood there and waited for us to pay, nobody came to even check on us!!!
We went back in and my husband went to talk to the manager and his reply was - I can offer you vouchers for pizza. Why on earth we would want to go back after such a horrible experience!? He said sorry you already paid there’s nothing we can do, maybe if you had your bill, so we gave it to him and he said he will see what he can do but is not sure there is anything he can do. I took a photo of it since he wanted it back. I will update with what they...
