The other day I was at the College Hills, on Von Maur Drive, Starbucks in Normal, IL, and I ordered a blueberry muffin and a tea out of the refrigerated area. I was told my muffin would only take a few minutes to heat up. I ended up waiting almost twenty minutes for my muffin. I tried asking if my muffin would be ready soon, however, the staff was very busy, hard to approach, and they kept telling me it would be a few minutes more. Further, I noticed other customers receiving heated items that had been ordered after mine. I ended up leaving without my muffin, because I had an appointment to get to. Usually, I brush incidents like this off, however, this has been a repeated incident at this Starbucks - where I order something simple, for example, a muffin, and I wait an unusual amount of time because the staff ends up forgetting about my order. I think it should also be noted that I don’t have this problem at other Starbucks in my area, but since this location is closest to my home I end up returning to this location in hopes that the service has improved. I am having a hard time understanding how the service at other locations can be exceptional while the service at the College Hills location is quite frankly horrible. Read moreI always order ahead at Starbucks regardless of location. For some reason this location is incable of having orders ready. I ordered hot food and a drink 15 minutes before I arrived, plenty of time to get it done. I get there and not only is my food not ready, but it’s not even in the oven. Mind you the store has a total of 3 workers on and around 4 people In the store. I get there and ask about my food and the person just looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about. The worker who was in front comes over and takes my (un prepared) food out of their fridge and puts it in their oven without even looking at me or saying anything (like sorry??) which led to me asking another worker if they usually wait for the customer to get there before cooking their food- to which she answered “no, they probably just missed it.” And turned around. So.. my drink order is complete, there’s no other customers being taken care of and my food was simply forgotten. And at no point did anyone offer consolation, an apology, anything of the sort. From Working in the service industry my whole life, I know how easy it is to put on a face for the customer and for the good of your company. Their efforts was sub par to...
Read moreStopped on our way out of town just before 5PM Today (Heading Home) I ordered a Grande Pink Drink and Grande Espresso Frapachino the young lady that waited on me also made both of the drinks she was incredible to watch it was apparent that she really knew her job she worked extremely fast and the Pours of each ingredient seemed looked to be spot on as far as hitting measure marks on the containers that she used.. as a 73 Year old retired Military Man it’s a joy to watch a someone that dies their job so well…. I only wished I would have gotten her name, I did comment to her that it was apparent that today wasn’t her first day working there…. Thanks for having an Excellent worker, we will stop in again next time...
