My wife and I made a quick decision to meet for dinner after work on a Thursday evening.. We considered two options.. Burgers and brews or Mexican food and brews, and on this night, burgers won the coin toss..
Enter Bad Daddy's Burger Bar's Norman location.. We had dined here once before, shortly after they opened, but for some reason, we hadn't made a return visit..
On this night, we started things off with upgraded Bad A$$ margaritas and followed those up with the fried deviled egg appetizer.. More on both of those in a minute..
We built our own burgers and split a side of fries for our main course.. Both burgers were 7oz Angus beef patties..
She topped hers with American cheese, Applewood bacon, onions, lettuce, tomato, and Bad Daddy's sauce on a brioche bun..
I topped mine with sharp cheddar, Applewood bacon, lettuce, and tomato on grilled sourdough bread.. I requested side cups of the Bad Daddy's suace and traditional mayo..
Both burgers and the fries were delivered to our table hot, fresh, and exactly as we ordered them.. Aside from a couple of pieces of undercooked bacon, we were very well satisfied with our burgers and the accompanying side of fries..
Now, let's talk about the "Not Your Momma's Deviled Eggs" for a minute.. This selection is one of the most unique appetizers we've encountered in some time..
They take five egg halves, lightly fry them, and fill them with a spicy egg filling, crumbled bacon, and top each with a jalapeño slice.. They are presented atop a bed of mixed greens, shredded carrots, and cubed cucumbers tossed in their Thai chili sauce..
These deviled eggs and the accompanying greens were the highlight of our meal.. We've never had anything like them and will definitely order them again on a future visit..
As for the upgraded margaritas.. They were potent as advertised, but maybe a little too potent.. The reposado tequila didn't seem as flavorful as other reposados we've enjoyed elsewhere, and they were a bit pricey for what they were..
All in all, we had an enjoyable visit, and Bad Daddy's met our requirements for the night's dinner.. We'll be back to sample other menu offerings in the near future, and the customizable burger menu makes Bad Daddy's a great option for the pickiest...
Read moreI'd been here once before just to sit at the bar and have wings and it was a good experience and wings were tasty. I decided to order from here for my employees Halloween Party and the whole process was a little frustrating to be honest. Everyone I talked to was very nice but after talking to 2 different people, one who I assume to be a manager, and they were not even able to give me the price before I placed the order so I had to place it and find out when I got there. Their seemed to be confusion when I referenced the party pack of wings shown as an option on their website but couldn't confirm prices or anything. Also couldbt give me an answer, when asking to have the wings split into 2 different sauces as shown in the split pack on the website? It was just a quite a bit more hassle than I would've expected. The man I talked to one the phone even said they were really slow so I'm not sure what the confusion was. When I got there also, even though we had gone over it a few times on the phone, I did not have all the sauces I asked for. I asked for the wings all naked since splitting the sauces on the wings seemed to be something they couldn't confirm was done. And then asked for a large mix of all 3 sizes on the side. When I arrived he asked me if I wanted more sauces or if just the buffalo he gave me was fine, which was just a little added frustration. Same with the ranch also as he had to run back a second time after the wing sauces to grab more ranch. All in all it was just enough of an unexpected hassle that I felt compelled to leave a review. I will be dining here again as the food is very good. However, I would hesitate to place any sort of a larger order with them again. The bartender who had my order behind the bar was very nice and I still tipped on the carryout. The wings are...
Read moreMy family and I always go at least once every 2 weeks or so and it has always been a good experience! Well all except for Halloween night 2023. The hostess dressed up as Blue’s Clues was very rude. There was a Halloween candy pail at the hostess stand but no hostess and of course my kids got excited when they saw it so yes, I went ahead and grabbed ONLY 2 lollipops (1 for each kid) as there was no sign indicating to guests that only the hostess/employees were to hand them out. Here comes the hostess (she wears clear framed glasses) acting like we’re stealing all her candy to which I asked “were we not supposed to get one” and she’s like “well we hand them out to regulate how many are given out” Idk what and proceeds to completely put them away and hide them in the hostess stand. I let her know I only grabbed 2 and she’s like “it’s whatever” but in a snarky tone. Like lady, trust me, I don’t want my kids getting more candy than they already have but you don’t have to be so rude about it especially with kids there that are in awe seeing a Halloween basket filled with candy. I was about to go get my kids trick or treat candy to replace the 2 suckers I got. Her reaction was completely not okay and to top it off she sat us right next to her, felt like it was on purpose to watch us, made my husband and me feel so uncomfortable for the 1st time there and all for 2 suckers. Idk if she paid for them herself but she could’ve been nicer, should’ve guarded them with her life, put a sign up, or plain out shouldn’t have left them there for everyone to grab. I’ll give her all of my kid’s candy if she wants but that’s not a way to treat a customer. Other than that, our food was great and the server nice and...
