I recently experienced unacceptable customer service here. I placed an order online and was 30 min late coming to pick it up. The restaurant was closing early due to a snow storm which was not communicated in any way by phone or email. I arrive and try to enter the restaurant and the doors were locked even though other patrons were still dining in the restaurant. I went back to my car and called the number on the take out sign. A man answered abruptly and rudely, "we're closed" I explained that I was just picking up and trying to get my food. It should have already been ready and there are still people there. He replied "ok I will bring it out to you" and hung up. He never took my name or order number. I waited for 20 min as the remaining patrons left and no one came out to bring me the order. I finally noticed someone in the window cleaning up and went up to the window and motioned for them to come talk to me to see if my order was still coming. They went and got another person, presumably in charge, and this woman dismissively waves her hands at me shooing me away and turns the lights off in the restaurant. I can understand closing early but promising to fill the order with not intention of following through is absolutely unacceptable. I will not be back and recommend others find somewhere else to get dinner. Hopefully my order is at least refunded as I paid online.
Update: Even though they respond to the review publicly on google no further action is taken when you fill out your information in the link provided. No one has reached out or even apologized for an employee lying and more order not being filled. I had to call back twice to finally get my refund. The first time I believe I got the manager who shut the lights off as she seemed to be aware of the situation and rather than addressing it she just said “well we were closed.” She at least promised a refund for the food I never received but did not follow through. Well, the pastries are good here- had quite a few. It’s no Paris but it’ll do. Coffee is delicious when I’ve had it. We had dinner here once and it’s pretty expensive considering the entree quality- mediocre and kind of bland according to my family. So i can only recommend pastries and baked goods thus far. On my husbands birthday i placed a large online order early afternoon to pick up around 530. Spent around $100. When i got there to pick up, however, they no longer had many of the items i ordered! They hadn’t even finished packing it up even though i was running about ten minutes late. My thing is- why did they not make sure to set back what i had ordered instead of continuing to serve others placing orders after me resulting in selling the items i paid for? That’s not right and a better system is needed. They did replace unavailable items with other things but still… It was very disappointing, indeed. Especially since it was for his birthday- i also have to say that while most of the staff has been friendly- there’s one young girl in particular that has been very rude on multiple occasions. We were in for dinner one night and dropped like $150. This girl was so busy giving my family and i dirty looks that she didn’t even catch half of what i ordered. She wanted to let us know she wasn’t happy we were forcing her to actually do her job and it came across loud and clear! Read moreServer at the counter seemed really out of it, we repeated our order twice and we corrected her when she read the wrong sandwich back to us. When we received the food it was still the wrong sandwich, a totally different one than she even mistook it for when we were ordering, and we checked the receipt and it was rung up completely wrong. We went up to ask for the replacement sandwich and tell them about the mistake, where the server just said "okay" and didn't apologize, and made us wait awkwardly in silence for several minutes standing at the counter while she stood at the register for a while and talked to the cooks in the back.
We were given a $10 gift card as compensation which was a nice surprise, but the coffees we bought with the card were lackluster and oversweet, and we watched the server making them have to constantly ask for help from the other server as if she'd never made them before.
The actual sandwich we finally received from our original order was incredibly overwhelming, flavorless and squishy, and it just tasted cold more than any distinguishable flavor. Claiming to be a French restaurant and serving food this sad with such unprofessional employees was a total disappointment for someone who was expecting authentic French food.
Lastly, they had a basket of Easter cookies on the counter that had a "seasonal" label, and we went there in August, so God knows how stale those cookies might be.
