Krave Teriyaki-Norman — Restaurant in Norman

New to Norman and first time trying this place.

Hubby ordered curbside to bring home for me- Chicken Katsu w/ extra meat.

He came straight home with food, so 15 mins tops... food still felt warm inside the the box. I was disappointed when I opened the box and saw the chicken. I could tell by the darker color it was overcooked :( With fried (especially breaded & fried) food- if it's hard when it's warm, it just gets harder as it cools. Thus was especially true in this case.

I took a bit to taste it and it was already hard, chicken was very dry, had smoky lightly burnt taste. Touched it 5 mins later and very hard.

I also ordered extra meat, and that small portion for the price was just no. That added insult to injury seeing the additional portion of dry, hard, burnt katsu. I'd be embarrassed as a business owner having this order go out the door to a customer.

Beyond disappointed.

Complete waste of money and still had to find something else for dinner as this was for the trashcan.

Will not be visiting again after that first...

While in the area having our puppies nails clipped, hunger stuck! Sushi always sounds good. Our first idea of a place to stop was closed and we are so thankful it was as it provided us with an opportunity to give Krave a go.

We placed our rather large order online while running another errand and only had a few minutes to wait upon arrival.

We enjoyed the edamame, mandoo and veggie rolls on our drive back home all of which were delectable!!!

Once home we proceed to enjoy a bit of everything. The macroni was fanstic pairing well with the small bites of both sweet and spicy as well garlic butter chicken.

The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful with the miso soup bringing a warm comforting sensation.

The star of our order had to have been the Teriyaki Chicken breast plate and fried rice though. With our puppy enjoying it just as much if not more than we did! With plenty of left overs we shall most definitely be eating here again.

Ordered pickup on Tuesday, and definitely will be ordering again in the future. I couldn't give this place less than 5 stars, portions are generous, the food is delicious, & a good price. My partner got the spicy crunchy California roll (he started eating before the picture was taken) and said it was very good, I had a sore throat and ordered the unagi which was much easier to eat for me with the swelling, but it was some of the blandest eel I've had - despite that I really enjoyed the meal anyways and used some of the smokey sauce that came with the teriyaki chicken which was delicious, and the macaroni salad was a...
