I had been visiting this Sonic daily after I get off work as I work the night shift. Recently we stopped due to one of the employees, possibly the manager, Trish. During our very first interaction we were ordering in one of the car stalls where she told us, rather loudly, that the car stalls were closed and they were drive-thru only. We didn't have an issue with the stalls being closed, it was a mild inconvenience at most and the volume didn't bother us much, either. What we took issue with, was her spiteful tone she said this in.
Initially, we gave her the benefit of the doubt. And our next consecutive visits were similar. We noticed one of the days she wasn't there, the stalls were open, so we wondered if perhaps they were closed because she was the manager and simply didn't want to walk out to the stalls.
Eventually, on one of our visits, my mother had ordered an unsweet tea and was intending to ask for sweetener at the window, but after rather swiftly hand us our order Trish rather pointedly ignored her for at least a minute straight, before rather annoyedly opening the window and asking what she wanted. My mother politely asked for sweetener to which Trish stormed off, before bringing a rather large handful of such. She then accosted my mother, saying she should have said something ,while the window was closed and she was being ignored, and then told her to simply request sweetener at the speaker. Then made a comment suggesting not to ask for sweetener for a while.
This was rather off-putting as you can probably imagine, but we again naively gave her the benefit of the doubt. Our next interaction of note, she was clearly rather annoyed by the sight of us, I assume she particularly dislikes us because my mother tends to have trouble ordering as she suffers from MS and often needs to correct her order. But while waiting for our food, Trish took a phone call. At the window. Where she talked on the phone for at least 5 minutes before she brought us our food and drinks. We received our hotdog obviously burnt. Not a little charred, not a little brown or red. Burnt. Don't give this to a customer and remake the hotdog, burnt. It's not hard to connect the dots on this one...
We will not be visiting this location anymore. I had thought about posting a review sooner, with the hopes that there would some kind of ratification, but seeing some of the reviews here I see that people have very similar experiences. The rest of the employees are fantastic and always so kind and helpful. I'm sure most if not all of them have issues with Trish's rather caustic attitude, so hopefully something is done, but... I am not interested in escalating the issue beyond this review myself, as, ideally, this should be enough for there to be at least some investigation and I have no interest in pushing the...

I was once a carhop myself which they don't get all the credit they deserve by the service that we as customers receive! Anyway when I went to place my order the woman on the intercom said rudely hold on! After I finally ordered i then heard someone next to me placing their order i could hear this woman rudely saying speak up I can't hear you! All I order was a drink. The customer next to me placed a lot bigger order who got their order before me & the order was being placed right there from what I heard!! But they received their order I believe in a timely manner for how big their order was! I actually felt bad for the carhops there was only 2 working there!! That I could see! I remember doing the same thing running back & forth when I worked @ the Sonic! & I had sweet customers & terrible 1's same as my co workers & working in the heat is "NOT" easy @ all!!! The carhops looked & sounded miserable! No greeting with a smile! But after my encounter it's understandable why this girl felt the way she looked!!! It was "Not" her fault @ all! & she was the reason I finally received my fountain drink! It might had been almost 40 years since I was a carhop! Their job is "NOT" easy @ all! But they deserve understanding from everyone courteous & generosity not just from customers but from the workers there as well! Then as I was leaving the area was so backed up! If there was a way to improve the parking spaces! But I know that would be hard to do @ this moment "OR" @ the area it's @!! & costly! All I want to say who worked the intercom please be a little nicer to your customers!! & Please remember those carhops plays a much bigger role then you think ...there in that business! These carhops taking orders to the customers & receiving the pay! It is a lot of work because your not just being a waitress figure, but facing the weather daily can be really hard for these workers!! & I remember cleaning the stand the lot & bathroom! Now placing the flag was the easiest!: But it adds on more heat for these workers! Not just cooks dealing with the heat by working next to a hot stove!! The intercom can't be as hard if the customers are trying to be nice & explaining their order correctly!! It sounds like the worker is miserable with her job! If she is then she needs to find another occupation! It's like the saying If a person can't stand to be around children then it would be crazy/obsurb working @ a daycare "OR"a school! ! Read moreI came and had two seperate orders the lady read my order back the way i said but it was wrong on the recipt and the sandwich was made wrong and ive worked in fast food all my life and the meat was dry all the way around the edge and my fries tasted old even tho i asked for them to be extra extra crispy we waited for 7 mins at the window . I made it home called in to the store and they lady i talked to came off so rude argued with me that the food had just came up just before they gave it to us n asked do i have my receipt and to bring it up there i bring it up there and she opens the window n tells me to keep my receipts and shes not remaking or refunding anything and to talk to her boss tomarrow in the morning ! And shuts the window on me leaving me and my family of three more plus my daughte trying to figure out how we are going to eat and tht left me to go to the store n beg for a few dollars because tht was my last till i get my last check thursday from my job in another town. i just lost my gma last saturday the 2 and moved here so i have no groceries i just got here monday the 4 and looked online for places to eat and then n decided to go to sonic based on what i read online but the food was not up to my standards because i asked for no onion and tomato on my burger and it was made with everything on it and my mom inlaw cannot eat tomatoes or ketchup. For how tht lady treated us and didnt even offer to help she started off with hunny and was rude trying to argue about how the food was told me to cum up there and then turnt me away and tht was my last money to eat with untill i get paid so i couldnt get my food made right or a refund made me feel terrible because i just moved here and i will never go to that sonic ever again because that woman made us all feel terrible for a first experience at this sonic my order was wrong and wasn't that hot and i got argued with and turnt away with nothing done they kept my 40$ thats robbery.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😰😰😰😰😰😰 And today i contacted the manager like so and she tells me she cant refund my money because its the next day, if i was waiting that long that my food must have been fresh !!!!
