Homeland — Local services in Norman

Homeland truly is our local grocery store. It doesn't have all of the fru fru things that some of the newer stores in town have, but you can almost always count on finding decent veg, pretty much whatever you need from the butcher case, and they have the best pharmacist in the world at their store on Alameda. What more could you ask for? Crest is cheaper, which is why only 4 stars. Super Saver is cheaper also but it's got a very limited selection and some things are priced very highly to catch those people who live in that area and have no transportation. I kind of don't like that. So usually Homeland is my choice. It's higher than some lower than some but it's always been here whether it was called Albertsons or Homeland, it's an Oklahoma store filled with Oklahoma Employees selling lots of wonderful things. I trust Homeland, and their pharmacists, both of whom are very sharp and have caught errors in either what I was given by a tech or what my doctor prescribed I'm allergic to. I like that sense of security. So go where you like, I avoid most other stores unless they have one specialty items I cannot get anywhere else. So give Homeland to try. Money order machine never works. The meat always smells pretty darn bad. It goes bad quickly as well. Don’t buy the meat go to Walmart. Same for the money orders go to Walmart.

Update: I got poisoned by some orange juice they had out longer than usual something I also learned is they pay their employee shit wages for somebody to be paying 9 an hour as a beginner during this economy is scummy give your employees the wages they deserve 12 an hour minimum. The minimum wage is supposed to be raised at the turn of the century to 15 so you might as well go ahead and start employee owned or not doesn’t matter pay them living wages they work hard. I have noticed one or two people being staffed their employees are stressed beyond to the job of four people typical corporate scummy behavior. What a shame homeland what a shame. Chad in produce is AMAZING!! I was doing an instacart order and my client had 3 different kinds of pre chopped fruit. I was having a hard time finding the fruit and Chad saw the lost look on my face and went out of his way to ask if I needed help finding anything which I ofcourse responded yes. I asked him about the fruit and he kindly showed me where it was, walked over there with me, and started checking the fruit with me and saw that some of the dates had just expired and made sure I didn’t grab those. I was able to find 2/3 of the fruits I needed but the last one was out and he offered to freshly chop me some up! Chad was extremely Pleasant and very Accommodating! Due to his kind assistance I was able to get everything I needed for the order and I received a 5 ⭐️ review!!! Thank you...
