I usually never review businesses, but I had such a negative, abrupt customer service experience over losing an important personal belonging at Ray's BBQ. In a little over 24 hrs, these are the events leading to the disgusting amount of uncooperation from the Ray's BBQ Norman OWNER: Dad invites me (a college student) to lunch at Ray's BBQ I arrive and enter Ray's with my wallet, contains student ID, drivers license, debit cards. I stood up twice during my meal, only to refill my drink sometime before leaving, I noticed my wallet was missing. I asked if they could review cam footage to see if anybody had pickpocketed me, they said only the owner can do that. When I called the next day, the issue seemed of extremely little importance to the owner, and she hung up on me twice. I was just trying to follow up, as I was very converned, and I had no other leads as to where my wallet could be. I decided I would go in myself and calmly find out if there was any other information that might lead somewhere. In the end, the owner accused me of harrassing the store and called the police, whom I was more than happy to explain the situation to. The food was actually really good, which makes having to write this review that much more...
Read moreSorry that I have to post this I really hate complaining but I really have to cause the food was horrible. I got the pulled pork sandwich and the pork had so much fat and hard pieces of meat when I removed them i basically had no sandwich. The meat was so dry and hard no taste you could that the meat was leftovers most definitely didn't come off the smoker didn't have the smoke flavor. Then ribs were hard tried to give some to my dog and he wouldn't eat it. You could tell that they most definitely didn't smoke on the smoker cause there wasnt a smoke ring on those bad boys again no smoke taste, no seasoning, and dry and the skin was so hard. For 45 dollars the food should have been a lot better. I know Mr. Ray didn't cook any of that because I've have had his barbecue and his was awesome whoever is the pitmaster back there honestly Mr.Ray you might want to remove them or show them how to apply some rub and or inject the meat or spritz when the meat is almost done cooking. This is Mr. Rays name and his reputation that's on the line. Please fix this. If you guys need an experienced pitmaster I wouldn't mind being...
Read moreHad dinner here tonight. Completely unimpressed. The BBQ brisket had no flavor and was dry. The mac and cheese was runny and tasted bland. The potato salad had way too much mustard; it had such a sharp flavor I couldn't eat but one bite. My son's cheeseburger was "meh" in his words I've had lots better at McDonald's. Then one of the workers came out to clean the lobby and she was glaring and throwing things around. One chair went flying back about 3 ft when she threw it. And she took a kid's highchair and threw it on the stack of other highchairs. Why is she so angry or is she just always overly aggressive? I would've said something to the manager but they proudly hang a sign that says "Sorry yesterday was the deadline for all complaints." So they obviously don't care what the public thinks unless it's platitudes or compliments. The only reason I didn't give them a one star is the okra and bbq sauce were good. Unfortunately those two items alone don't feel you up. Next time I'm craving BBQ I'll go to Van's or Dickey's because they're bith far superior. I'm sorry I let an acquaintance talk me into this...
