I went with my family, and we had a great experience! We has a remarkable capacity to eat food, so we ordered a lot lol.
To drink, I got the Auga Fresca which was guava, some simple syrup, water and lime. It was perfectly refreshing for a hot day! We got a lot of dishes and shared, but the stand out dish of the night was definitely the Street Corn Gnocchi. It was sooooo soft and pillowy, and is so comforting and cheesy and soft. The tacos, which we got with a side of rice and beans, were classic and delicious. (can't go wrong with rice and beans!) The yucca fries were suuper salty and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dip is also very good! The other dishes in the pictures were also good, but to me the ones I listed were very stand out. Dessert was also very good, we got the Panna Cotta and the churros. The Panna Cotta was mango with graham cracker crumbles, and wasn't too heavy to end the meal. The mango taste was prominent, but not too strong. The churros were perfectly crispy and in the words of my mom "I love churros and these are some of the best I've had".
The service was good, and the food came out very quickly....
Read moreOur recent visit to the restaurant was a mixed experience. The food was satisfactory, and the hostess was friendly and accommodating. We completely understand the restaurant's policy against outside beverages, including our coffee from nearby. When our server, Chloe, informed us we couldn't have the drink inside, we suggested covering them or finding an alternative solution, which the hostess later approved. While we appreciate the need for rules, Chloe's approach felt unnecessarily rigid and unfriendly (essentially only providing the options of discarding our drink or leaving it unattended outside). After resolving the drink issue, her service became oddly inconsistent - either extremely rushed or entirely absent. She rarely made eye contact or engaged in any pleasant interaction. We recognize that everyone can have off days, but Chloe's inflexibility and cold attitude did impact our dining experience. The restaurant is good but the inconsistency in service was...
Read moreCasita – A Delightful Culinary Experience Near MASS MoCA! Every time we’ve visited the MASS MoCA area, Casita has caught our eye—and we finally had the chance to dine there. It can be tricky without a reservation, but we made it in, and it was absolutely worth the wait! We started with the vegetarian Chilaquiles (a small hiccup—they included egg despite our request, but the dish was still fantastic). The tortilla chips were perfectly simmered in rich coloradito mole and topped with onion, cilantro, nopales, crema, and queso fresco. Truly delicious! The Yucca fries with chipotle aioli might just be the best we've ever had—crispy on the outside, soft inside, and full of flavor. And the Holy Kale Salad was a standout—definitely more than your average salad! It came dressed with a flavorful goddess dressing, house-made croutons, and a sprinkle of cotija, creating a wonderfully balanced bite. Overall, Casita delivered a warm, flavorful, and memorable experience....
