Calo’s is a hidden gem that delivers big on flavor and hospitality. Serving up classic favorites with a twist, this spot has now grabbed the top spot for best local eatery for us and we will be back soon!

We started with the fried calamari, which was perfectly crisp and tender. The up all night burger- double smash burger with bacon, egg, and cheese- was next-level! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and stacked just right. The shrimp tacos were packed with flavor and just a slight kick of heat and the homemade onion rings were an unexpected highlight: crunchy, well-seasoned, addictively good and homemade!

To finish, we took home the strawberry cheesecake, which was rich, creamy, and so fresh- another homemade item on their menu. You can tell the love and care the owners have given to the food that they serve.

What really made the experience stand out was the service. Our food arrived quickly and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The restaurant was spotless, and Mauricio—the owner—was not only attentive but genuinely warm and welcoming. His presence and personal touch added so much to the experience.

You will not be disappointed when you visit Calo’s. The combination of outstanding food, a clean and inviting space, and genuinely exceptional service makes it a place we’ll be returning to often. Easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had...

After a funeral service at Holy Cross Cemetery, my family needed a place to gather and have an early dinner. My wife found this place after searching for a restaurant with Gluten Free options. I called Calo's to see if we needed a reservation for a party of 7 plus my niece in a wheelchair. The owner answered, said we did not need a reservation, but he said he'd expect us and ha e a table ready for my family. We arrived on a Friday about 3:20pm, the table was ready, and we had plenty of room. My wife had plenty of GF options, and was very happy. I had the half-chicken and shrimp combo with fries and slaw, it was amazing. My uncle had fish and chips and the portion was well-sized. Everything we ordered was delicious, we had ZERO complaints about Calo's! Oh, and try the Mango Lemonade!!!! Fantastic! If you're in the area, NO, I don't care how far away you are... Take the time to drive here. You won't be disappointed!!!! ...

Omg this place is AMAZING! Definitely a new North Arlington favorite! The gentleman that makes everything are so friendly. They also accommodate you if you want to switch something for your dish. This is the second time I've been here and had the linguine garlic pasta ( they make it homemade too). The first time I only had it with shrimp. The second time I added grilled chicken and shrimp. I am obsessed!

Great atmosphere, owners, and service. Every time I come back I want to try something different but I stick with the pasta. It's my favorite!

I had the gluten free calamari and that was fantastic as well. The breading was seasoned well and it wasn't rubbery. That a must to try as well!.

My boyfriend had the grilled chicken, rice, and broccoli and everything was seasoned wonderful.
