MDN Latin Dance Studio — Local services in Belleville

Prior to the pandemic, I had purchased and prepaid for the 12 dance lesson package at $150. Unfortunately I was only able to take two sessions before the pandemic hit.

When businesses started opening up over the summer of 2020, I contacted Marcus and Diana so I can finish using the prepaid lessons but was told that they were no longer accepting the old pass. Well, that's too bad, then give me back my money, right? Instead I was told to purchase new lessons. Now why in the world would I give this business any more of my money? You would think people would be more understanding given the state of the pandemic. I was not asking for free dance lessons, I was asking for a service I had already paid for.

Prior to this experience, 5 other family members and i had paid this business more than enough over the course of 3 years of monthly dance lessons. Partnerwork is limited until the Covid pandemic is under control. But no matter, the single work helps you calibrate your internal metronome. MDN will help you fine-tune your timing which will come in handy when full partnerwork returns.

I want to start of by saying that before I stepped foot in MDN I never had the courage to step on a dance floor and I also had no dancing background. I Have always been that guy that stays in the table babysitting everyone’s drinks, bags, food and babies.

For some reason Salsa was a dance that always came to mind and I honestly didn’t really know what salsa actually looked like. But I decided to sign up after seeing a post from my friend Jomar back in October 2023.

Fast forward 6 months I can confidently step into Salsa Social dance floors, worked up courage to audition for a student performance team and now get to practice among high skilled Salsa dancers thanks to our amazing coach Marcus Nieves.
