I don't understand how this place has positive reviews or is even still in business...
We decided to try breakfast here today based on the 4 star rating it has on Yelp and it was far from a good or even decent experience...
First off, the waitress we had was incredibly rude. With no welcoming greeting she asks from across the room "what do you guys want to drink?!" Then brings us our orange juices and has an attitude about my girlfriend asking for a straw. It was very uncomfortable from the start...
Then came time to order our food and after ordering, which you need to basically walk around the room because the menu is posted along the walls, she brings over to the table a bottle of maple syrup and butter and practically slams it on the table
When the food finally came, it was all flavorless and some even seemed undercooked (sausages, bacon, home fries, etc.)
And to end it all, after giving my card to pay, the waitress came back to hand my slip...without my card...I had to walk to the counter where it was sitting in plain sight and grabbed it and just said, "sorry, you forgot to bring this back"
The entire experience was awful and made both of us feel like we were a bother to even have breakfast here
Will not be returning and I advise anyone looking for a good breakfast in the area to instead go to Mackies a few doors down. You'll be treated a lot more kindly and respectfully with...
Read moreNice quiet place to have breakfast. First time I have ever been here. The waitress was really friendly and super quick! The coffee mug was an actual mug size and not a super small cup. The menu had a good variety of breakfast food options. My husband and I both ordered "The Giant" which included 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 slices of french toast, and home fries. They have some tables inside and some outside, a couple of booths and you can sit at the counter up front.
The french toast tasted amazing... I think they might add cinnamon and sugar? Yum! I love my bacon cooked crispy, and they cooked it that way automatically... So if you rather bacon that isn't so well done, you might want to mention that! The home fries were a little bland, but everything else was so good! I would definitely go back! 5...
Read moreThe best deal in town. Hasn't changed much in 20 years, which in this case is a great thing. Took the kids and grandma last weekend and spent $60 for all five of us. Omelettes, French Toast, and they made Mickey Mouse-shaped pancakes as a surprise for my girls. The staff is great and works their tails off. Some of the chain-type diners and breakfast joints up the road, or the fancy places in Providence a few exits down just can't compete - on price or on quality.
I never leave disappointed. If I could go here multiple times a week I would. I feel like the owners are going to retire any day now (they deserve to, for sure), but in the meantime I'm going to be at JD's every...
