Bill & Mary's Diner & Creative Catering — Restaurant in North Canton

A dear friend of mine took me to Bill & Mary's for lunch recently and I was very happily surprised by this little mom-n-pop diner. We arrived about fifteen minutes before the restaurant was about to close, but the server still showed us to our table with a smile and went out of her way to make sure our dining experience was pleasant. When placing my order, I inadvertently ordered an item that wasn't even on the menu. Rather than correcting me or disappointing me by refusing to make what I was hungry for, the cook simply made the sandwich I requested and joked that they now had a new item to add to their menu. Although, our meal lasted well past their posted closing time, the staff never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. Loved the food and the uniqueness of the food! The server was super annoying. She was very awkward and kept talking and bothering us with way way way too many details. I’m honestly probably not coming back If I see she is here again. The lady couldn’t get a clue, she handed us one menus not two and never gave us a chance to read it before asking us what we wanted seconds after handing us the menu. We even said we haven’t been here before because the sign outside when driving by stood out as a catering business so we did not know it was a dine in restaurant. We clearly did not want to be bothered so we could read the menu and it only got worse with more chit chat as we dined, way way too many visits to our table. Never again will we come here. My husband son and I came into this restaurant this morning, we like to support small businesses and when we walked in a waitress told us there was a table in the back we could sit at, we go back and sit for 10 mins while 2 servers stand at the counter doing nothing, including the one who told us to sit there. No one comes to get a drink order, bring menus nothing. We waited patiently and watched as a server took a tables order right next to us and walk away without even acknowledging us sitting there.
