This place was interesting. They have a heck of a food menu, beautiful atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. My only down side was the beer but I'll get to that.

The food and service was excellent. Waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. Enjoy every interaction that we had. But let me tell you, the food was insane. I had the smoked Gouda bites and then the Kasespatzle. I cannot stop thinking about either one. Both were absolutely delicious and extremely filling. I can't wait to go back and try the other ones.

As for the beer and other alcohols... I'm confused. This place very clearly has a German feel but it feels as though they have an identity crisis. The beer I had, an IPA and a Porter were just fine. I did not dislike them but they were nothing to get excited about. However, I was surprised to find that the German alcohol seemed to be lacking. I suppose I expected more German-esque beer and was met with a very diverse menu of beers and liquors. Is that bad? Not necessarily, but why is a German place giving me an IPA? It just seemed odd and honestly I wasn't anything super great.

I've been telling all my friends, go for the food, it's incredible. However, the beer needs some work. It's not bad but it's nothing that blew me away. I think you'll leave full though and I think that counts...

Being a member of the crew here at New Berlin has extended my family. The owner Mike is by far the nicest, down-to-earth, generous and just super cool guy, and I include his partner in crime Gretchen and boys Graham and Evan in on that as well. Atmosphere is very comfortable for casual dining or just to come sit and watch sports and have one of our many crafted ipa's. Wednesday night hosts trivia and live music on Thursdays. Food is def on point. Always run a tasty weekend special from the talented hearts and minds of one or all of the chefs that create culinary Deluciousness. Boss Mike, Mike T. , Anthony, and Cecily are no rookies when it comes to food. There's always a new special made fresh every weekend. Logan, our brew master, is no rookie when it comes to crafting, nothing but compliments all the way around! Come on in and try us, you won't be disappointed...

Blah. This one may not survive. Finally made it there today (2/3/23). I visit many craft breweries and I want them ALL to survive but this one has issues. 1. $7 pints; 2. Uncomfortable seats; 3. Not overly ambitious server and barkeep sat down behind bar; 4. Beer...other than slightly overpriced, not impressive. Not tasty to say the least; 5. Make up your mind on bathrooms...being nice is one thing, having girls deal with the same toilet as guys use is not nice; 6. Very little taste in the Kase Spaetzle; 7. House made beer cheese is good; 8. It was cold in there. Now for the beers, tried the Hensys Honey -- just average beer with a hint of sweet, the Schwarbier was dark but flavorless, and the Weiss with the jalapeno syrup was jalapeno tasty, but zero beer taste. Creativity missing. I so wanted this to be good! It is not. I love small businesses but some...

Nre Berlin has excellent german food. It's the best you'll can find outside of the Cleveland area easily. The schnitzel was tender and juicy while crisp on the outside. The jagar sauce was well seasoned and had a deep rich flavor. The käsespätzle was amazing easily the best I've had in a while very cheesey with a deep peppery flavor. The pretzels was soft but with a decent chew and the beer cheese was great with a nice tang from the beer. The black forest manhattan was actually very nice and it did have notes of cherry and dark chocolate. Also Wednesday nights is trivia night and Stu is a great host, he's super fun. I'd recommended checking it out. You can win a $10 gift card if you get 1st place. Also this place is located in a strip mall so it is rather unassuming but because of that it does have plenty of parking.

I left this restaurant thinking, "That was ok, but I really want a redo." I know how to make better decisions after considering my first experience. First, I absolutely must spend the extra money to get the bigger pretzel. Secondly, I arrived thinking I wanted to try new things when I should've stuck to the German food I was familiar with. I ended up getting a Beirock Flatbread. While I'm sure some would find it delicious, I felt overpowered by the cumin seasoned meat reminding me too much of taco meat. The Sauerkraut balls had bratwurst in them (also not my cup of tea) and were a little cold on the inside. The beer cheese was phenomenal. The alcohol options are plentiful, and the waitstaff are kind and attentive. I would like to come back for a round two and plan my visit the right way.
