100%, a great Pi day stop- some of the best, and most consistent pies in North Canton.
Delicious soups, wraps, and burgers.
Update. Would change to six stars if they'd let me. I come into this grinders a couple times a week to buy my wifes grandmother an oven baked dc3. She's 93, and it's one of three meals she requests. After going to the one on Whipple a few times, I've realized how incredibly lucky I am to live nearer to the North Canton location. Even by the time you get it home, your sandwich is hot, well put together, and full of all the ingredients that are supposed to be included. Even if the food quality were not far superior here, the service would be more than enough to drive a few extra miles for. Everyone is awesome, pleasant, patient, and kind- like, always. If it's a facade, it's 100% believable. Anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant, knows how difficult and rare a staff like that is.
Special shout out to Amanda. I think she is foh manager. You'll know her when you see her. Big ol' smile, like there is no where else she'd rather be, and positive energy that makes you want to hang around too long. If she isn't foh manager, someone may want to consider it. What ever the case, she is amazing.
Thank you all for giving grandma something to look forward to. It's just a sandwich, sure- but in her condition, at her age, a DC3 followed up with a Popsicle (or three) is a...
Read moreWent here for a Mother’s Day celebration on Saturday. I tried to pay for the bill on the QR code you can scan on the receipt. When the waitress came back, she said their system had been messing up and it didn’t go through. I showed her our bank account through our app and it took the money out. After a manager tried and also called the VP they said there’s nothing they could do because it didn’t go through on their end. So to our EMBARRASSMENT we had to ask family to cover for us until the money reversed. It eventually did and I thought nothing of it until today TUESDAY, Grinders tried to yet again take money out of our checking account. I will be calling to see why after so many days our card has been charged after it already being paid! The waitress’ kindness and service was the only good thing I have to say about this place. The food sucked and now I have to go out of my way to not only call Grinders but to call my bank to and mark this as fraud!
edit: called grinders and explained what happened- no call back or update. Still have the charge that no longer is pending but went through!!! At this point I have to open a claim against them and cancel my card. This is a horrible horrible experience. I recommend if you do go here-...
Read moreWe walked in around 7:50 for dinner on a Thursday evening. Service and food were wonderful until the very end. We ended up opting for dessert around 8:50, paid our tab, and noticed servers sweeping around us. We figured they were eager to close so I asked a server for boxes for our dessert so we could eat it at home and let them close. It was a couple of minutes before 9. She didn’t answer me, but huffed and puffed to get a box. She handed it to me and I thanked her. No response. As we were leaving both my husband and kids thanked her and said “have a good night” as she followed us to the doors where she locked them and said “we close at 8:30”
I felt terrible. I thought they closed at 9; however the rude nature of her comment really rubbed me the wrong way. I worked at Grinders for 8 years and I know they didn’t use to stand for this behavior toward guests. I never would have hung around that long and did dessert had I known, but they also made an extra $30 off of us for those desserts. All in all, I’ll be back because the food is good and I hope I just caught her...
