Variety's Restaurant — Restaurant in North Canton

Variety Resturant marches to their own beat. Most dishes are main street American fare. The food is flavorful and hearty. The dishes arrived in a timely manner and were plated in an appealing manner. However the kitchen felt it was necessary to add a thin slice of a rather large orange🍊 to my plate (along with a very fresh looking and generous sized piece of lettuce plus a generous slice of 🍅 tomato. My companion and i arrived on a Sat afternoon. The menu had Sat menu specials and i selected BBQ hamburger with cheese/bacon/BBQ sauce/Cole Slaw/2 onion rings. The meal came with a cup of 🍲 soup and 🍟fries. Both were Delicious! The chicken noodle soup was chock full of noodles, chicken and some veggies. The fries were very tasty and i received a generous- sized portion. The BBQ burger was awesome. The burger itself was huge! The BBQ sauce/cheese/bacon was quite good. The Cole slaw was also tasty. The meal was very filling and i ended up bringing part of it 🏡 home. Along with a diet Coke. My meal was around $12. My companion walks with a walker and i use a cane. We had no problem in the restaurant with either piece of equipment. The tables are far enough apart to accommodate them. Neither of us used the restroom so i do not know it's accessibility status. The service was great and the waitress quickly responded to all of our requests. i would definitely recommend the Variety Resturant.

By far the worst food and service of my life, and I'm pretty easy to please. I ordered a steak, BIG MISTAKE, and it was covered in fat and completely flavorless.. i understand, not everywhere has good steaks- that was MY bad. So politely i asked for them to take the steak back and just give me chicken fingers instead, you cant go wrong with chicken fingers, right? Wrong..... they were terrible and fat filled. And the manager had the effing nerve to come to me, ask me what was wrong with the steak and insult me by saying the steak was fine, and that it wasn't bad. He was insulted that his low grade steak was denied? It was by far the worst of my life. It seriously tastes worse than dog food. Then since i changed from the original meal of the steak which includes the "salad bar" I was charged 5$ for the chicken, and 7$ for the salad bar, that i got a TINY salad and didnt even eat the salad. completely over charged me and the manager and the employees made ME out to be like i was difficult and hard to please. I'm not, it's actually really easy seeing i'm 5 months pregnant, i'll eat whatever really. Worst experience of my life.. Literally. It was 8pm on a friday night with nobody in there.. that should have been my sign. And not to mention the carpet is so damn filthy i wouldnt let my dog lay on it. Oh and both me and my mom got a male employee walked in on us seperate times we went in there.

Variety's is a nice homestyle restaurant with great choices and daily specials.

My wife's favorite is the Amish Turkey dinner which comes with fresh turkey off the bone, stuffing, mash potatoes and gravy. It is quite filling.

My personal favorite is the spaghetti dinner. It's not spectacular by any measure but it's tasty, not too expensive, and very filling.

My favorite part of eating there is the salad bar. Great choices from your regular lettuce and tomatoes to peas, potato salad, bean salad, cucumber salads, and so on. I've even had unusual items like hearts of palm (delicious) and green onion stalks. Made my breath bad but it was a nice change of pace.

Don't forget the soups of the day. I've had chicken noodle, clam chowder, cream of mushroom, etc. It's all delicious and satisfying.

Of course any small diner has its share of desserts. I'm not a dessert eater myself but they have a selection of pies, cakes, and other sweets.

My only complaint is that the restaurant is so small. There's not a whole lot of seating and some parts of the dining room are a little cramped. Same with the bathrooms, but they are always clean. A nice plus.

Overall Variety's offers good food with good value. I always enjoy...
