I had the pleasure of trying their Pollo Saltado, and let me tell you—it was absolutely delicious. This dish is an incredible mix of juicy, marinated chicken sautéed with onions, tomatoes, and spices, all served over a bed of fries and rice. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the combination of textures made it even better. The chicken was tender, the vegetables were perfectly cooked, and the fries soaked up all that rich, savory sauce, making it an unforgettable meal.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Alpaca is fantastic. It’s casual, inviting, and full of energy—the kind of place where you feel comfortable whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout. You can smell the incredible aroma of charcoal-grilled chicken as soon as you walk in, which only makes you more excited for the meal ahead.
And let’s not forget the service! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and made sure that everything was just right. Read moreDisappointing today. One plus, the food is good. Now, the minuses: 1. Overpriced. Almost $30 for very small servings. Most Latino Restaurants give you ample serving sizes, these are chintzy. 2. A small size half chicken (which normally serves two people) came with 5 yucca fries ( so 2.5 fries per person) and 4 small tostone ( 2 pieces per person). 3. I had to wait 15 mins for them to cook the 4 pieces of tostone when there was no one wtg for food in front of me, until finally one of the girls yelled at the other girl to at least give me my other food so I could pay and sit down while I waited on the tostones. 4. The chicken has good flavor but is on the verge of being under cooked 5. $4.00 for a horchata that was 8 ounces - I literally measured it when I got home bcuz I was surprised at how small it was (Los Cuates gives you 32 ounces for the same price) 6. $7.50 for 2 cookies that were not good.( Other places give you two cookies for $1) 7. And the plastic sauce tops don't want to fit on the containers so you risk them leaking all over the place. I LOVE Hispanic food, was raised by a Latina and have been eating it all my life so maybe this review sounds a bit pet peevy, but for the prices they are charging, these are things that can and should be fixed. Either that or the novelty of this new place may fall by the wayside and this restaurant go under like so many do...
Read moreFood was pretty good; nothing super great, but not bad. The only bad part was the service. My friends and I wanted to buy separate parts of the meal, one getting the $80 deal, I get desserts and a drink, and my last friend getting some other drinks, so not evenly split monetarily at all. We explained this before and during the transaction to not cause confusion with the ticket creating process. We go to start paying and we see it's all on one. We explain how we want to split it again. The person ringing us up offered to have it split 50/50, which we declined and explained again. Then they offered 3 way split, and again we explained we want to buy different parts of the meal on different checks. Then they said that if we wanted to do that that they would have to take it off and put it back on again, obviously unenthusiastically. My friend finally just waved it off and I had to go 50/50 with him and get paid the difference later but it was just ridiculous. We shouldn't have to explain that many times and then be met with a response like that, just make the separate checks like we're unrelated customers for 3...
