Mingo Creek Trail Parking — Attraction in Knightdale

Plenty of parking, but there is construction in the area (expansion of the Mingo Creek Trail to Knightdale Station). We rode bikes from the Mingo Creek pkg lot towards Anderson Point Park, but they've blocked it at the Neuse River, due to more construction. But we were able to ride about 3 miles out and back. Small paved parking area right on the trail. Small kids playground area with climbing structures, slides and swings. Several basketball courts. Nice, quiet, paved trail between various neighborhoods. Mostly shaded with trees. A small natural stream runs along part of the trail. Walking, biking and running are acceptable. Dogs on leashes (6ft or shorter) are allowed, but please pick up after them. The park is small, but enjoyable. They've just added a dog park area, unfortunately without any shade. There are two half courts for basketball.
