My family and I have lived in this area for almost 20 years, spend many date nights and meals with smiles. Always had great service! Today may have been the last time I'll ever step foot in your restaurant.
Around 12:30 pm, May 8, everything was going good when we first arrived, a gentleman sat my 10 months daughter and I in the back of the restaurant, got us a high chair and even moved the chair in the corner to accommodate. There was a large family close by, so I felt it was a good fit! Got chips and water and was excited to share a little lady date with my daughter. About 15 minutes went by and I saw another table sat near us (about 10 people) and their drink order was gotten. At this point, the waiter came up and said "someone will be here soon, friend". I decided to do my order to go, as I felt 15 minutes in a 1/4 filled restaurant was a bit long with a hungry child. She was quiet, may have made instruments with a few things, but she's a baby.
I packed everything up and went to the front. Shortly after sitting down my food was ready and payment was taken. As I got change back the waiter did some small talk and I tipped him for his time. The other gentleman with the mustache opened the door for me and said "hope to see you soon" I said you too. Under his breathe he said "hope not".
I'm not sure what happened, but I felt one of my favorite restaurants in the city treated my daughter and I so poorly. This restaurant always treated me like family. Food was still very...
Read moreI place my order. My boyfriend picks my order up. He shows up 30 minutes after I place it, and it’s still not ready. He realizes that there is no tortillas in the bag, and calls up there. They tell him that they can give him store credit. I check the order and realize that there is no rice or lettuce. I call up there and they tell me that someone else has called and there is nothing they can do unless I come up there. I tell them that I have been drinking (hence why my bf picked it up) and I can’t drive up there. “Well there’s nothing we can do” okay fine lol, I can find a way up there. I get there (not down the street btw) and this rude woman is like “it’s not our fault, you ordered the wrong thing”. Okay you wasted my time and money and now it’s….oh well? Nah. Now it’s we’re going to call the cops, because you tell me I have to come up here just to say it’s my fault and to walk away. You then tell me I have two options. Either i take the food or you give me a….salad? All I’m asking for is some Tortillas and rice to go with the Mexican fajitas. I gave so much money to this place, just to be disrespected and threatened. Not to mention, they didn’t even acknowledge me when I walked in. I had to wave them down. Quite frankly I would have let it go if they didn’t tell me to go up there as if they were going to fix the problem. This place has changed after Covid....
Read moreI used to live in Knightdale for a while, so I've actually dined in at the restaurant with my Fiance. The food was always good, especially for the price! We had tried one of their mixed drinks before, Azul something (that was a while ago) it was great and we were celebrating my birthday.
I was however not very impressed with the women's bathroom and that's one reason I refuse to give a 5 star rating. Also, this IS a busy joint at lunchtime during the week and weekend, as well as nighttime during the week/weekend.
This is also NOT going to be the place for a romantic type of dinner. If it's busy, it's gonna be LOUD. Now, if you and your posse are loudmouths, you'll love it. I personally wasn't raised in a barn and I know how to act when eating out.
El Senor has a space next to their place perfect for expanding their seating and offering al fresco dining. I think that they should seriously look into opening up that glass partition and pushing out to allow for more money and another dining...
