I wanted to let you guys know, your staff is amazing. I have a severe allergy...tomatoes. I’m sure you’re asking “who has a weirdo tomato allergy and loves Mexican food?” 🙋🏻♀️ I tend to never get to really eat at most restaurants because most places do not take my allergy seriously, and it’s truly an inconvenient allergy. I usually gauge whether I can put in my order, after ordering my family’s order first. Your staff...yes, everyone working tonight, welcomed me in. I have a picky family...so after the first two orders were placed, your team was still smiling and asking if I wanted anything else. I requested a recommendation for my husband, and I had multiple shouts of solid suggestions. They made his burrito...and asked me if that was it. I hesitantly risked giving my order...and stated my allergy. Usually this is the part where I am told that it can not be accommodated to, or I hear loud sighs with rolling eyes. No. Your team, all announced, “CHANGE GLOVES!”...making sure EVERYONE CHANGED THEIR GLOVES BEFORE TOUCHING MY ORDER. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻They began making my salad...and when we got to the fresh ingredients, I was immediately sad that most the ingredients had been contaminated with the tomatoes. Your staff sensed my disappointment, and pulled out fresh, untouched ingredients to complete my banging salad order. I could cry...but I’m already a weirdo enough for having a tomato allergy...so I will just leave it at, “THANK YOU.” Thank you for being so accommodating and kind, at 6pm on a weekday...to a mom, with picky kids, and a totally off the wall, inconvenient allergy. Thank you, for smiling the whole time you accommodated....and thank you for making me feel normal, and not like an inconvenience. It really...
Read moreNever again. Visited Buritto Shak in the beginning when it first opened and had a bad experience but chocked it up to it being new. Decided to try it again now that it has been open for awhile, terrible mistake. Arrived around 6:20 and basically all ingredients were out. The staff failed to say that anything was out until you ordered it. The first item I attempted to order was the burrito with peppers and onions. I was informed mid way through that they were out of peppers and onions. Everything looked like it had been sitting out all day including the almost empty salsa bar. My wife ordered an item with chicken and so did I. They made hers first with a good portion and only had enough left to maybe put a bite or two of chicken on mine, but failed to mention anything to me. The people behind me in line ordered chicken after we did and they were informed they ran out. They were smart and decided to leave. Both of our meals were awful as they tasted old. Why even stay open if over half of your ingredients are sold out? Not only was the food bad, but the staff was absolutely terrible as well. We will never...
Read moreMy husband and I absolutely love this place. The food is so fresh and very good. Though we want to try other items, we both love the Rincon so much that we cannot even entertain another entree.
The first time I had the Ricon, I asked for carne asada, but they gave me ground beef. That was not an issue, as the ground beef was excellent. Fast forward to this past weekend, I did receive the Ricon with carne asada and was a bit surprised at how much gristle it had. I ended up removing the carne asada and just enjoyed the remainder of the burrito as normal.
Long story short, this was not a deal breaker, as I now know to order the ground beef or just no protein moving forward.
I also must give a shout out to the queso, which is delicious. Additionally, the salsa is amazing.
Again, the Burrito Shak is an excellent option for those who enjoy fresh Mexican-inspired meals. As locals who very close to the restaurant itself, we will continue to frequent it over...
