Cheddars in Jacksonville NC is the worst eating place I have been to by far. When my family and I entered no one was there to greet us, and we waited atleast 5 minutes before anyone came. Thank God they had a pumpkin contest of some kind wasn't for sure, but it kept my baby interest seeing the different decorated ones. Finally we sat down and the African American waitress kept referring to my husband and the rest of my party as sweetie, hun, sweetheart etc. unprofessional it should have been sir's or mama's. I asked the waitress about the New Orleans Pasta if the chicken in it was fried or grill? By the look on her face she didn't know but she guessed grilled. I ordered it going off her words and when I received my food there was "No Chicken" so I told the lady I didn't get any grilled chicken, mixed it up for her to see as well. She said "okay" and walked away, so I'm assuming she was having to cook's grill my chicken I was told comes on there. A few minutes later a husky, feminine caucasian guy comes over and said "what's the problem at this table?". So I'm assuming he was some type of manager b/c he didn't state who he was. I told him and showed him as well there was No grilled chicken in my food as advertised. He goes to explain for a good 5 minutes on how the chicken food is proportion in the morning, shredded up and already add to the sauce. As you can see in my pictures I added there was absolutely NO GRILLED CHICKEN shredded in the sauce of my food nor tasted like it. He continued to talk and said to me" I can get you more chicken, but you will have to pay $5.00 extra". I told him I was not about to pay more money for something that was suppose to be in my meal already. With the worst attitude he could come up with, just said okay and rolled his eyes. Then other member of my party showed him her *Herb Roast Chicken" with the birds FEATHERS still on the chicken. Again his rude a** says "oh, yeah the chicken is already cleaned before we get it, we just cook it". I was just about to cuss him out but my husband intervene and asked him to go get our check. This restaurant needs to send there employees to world class customers service and management classes every 6 months. My family and I will NOT be back here again. I will definitely take my hard, earned money else where. Despite all the attitudes and rudeness from the waitress up to management, I still left her a 35% tip, even after the waitress through my burnt toast away that I was eating. **URGENT**Right outside the front door there is a small metal piece of pipe sticking out the ground and my handicap MoM almost fell and broke her pinky toe, that needs to be removed immediately, it has no purpose of being there.****

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Dining Experience – Healthy, Delicious & Great Value! If you're looking for a fantastic meal in Jacksonville, NC, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen is a must-try! From the moment we walked in, the service was prompt and friendly—we were seated almost immediately, even with the parking lot semi-full. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere. What really stood out was how accommodating this place is for those with dietary concerns like high blood pressure or diabetes. Unlike many restaurants that over-salt or over-sugar their dishes, Cheddar’s lets you control the seasoning without sacrificing flavor. The food was perfectly balanced—tasty, but not overwhelming. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and two meals, and the total came out to just $44—a great value for the generous portions. In fact, there was **so much food that I had enough left over for a second meal at home! The staff and managers were professional and attentive, quickly fixing any small mistakes (though there were hardly any). The location is a bit hidden among hotels and retail stores, but that just makes it a hidden gem in the heart of the shopping area. Nice and beautiful scenes to look at and enjoy as well as a huge menu selection. Final Verdict: 10/10 – Whether you need a quick bite or a full, satisfying meal, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen delivers on flavor, service, and value. Highly recommended!🍗🥗🍽️ Will definitely be back!

$15 I’ll never get back! This was my first time coming here and likely my last, but time will tell. Walked in and was sat quickly, staff was friendly, but the entire dinning room was FREEZING, had to go grab a jacket and slip off to the bathroom a few times because it was warmer in there. I will tell anyone who is hoping for swaps, they will not make the philly chicken based which is wild to me but whatever. I got the buffalo chicken wraps with fries, the fries were not good at all and very greasy, they left a nasty aftertaste in my mouth. The chicken wraps were mid at best, I expected more from them and they didn’t quite live up to the picture on the menu. The whole meal really upset my stomach as well. Now they give you a complimentary honey butter croissant that was very good, my sweet server gave me a free one on the way out to make up for the lack in my meal, though I was hoping to just get it removed from the bill since I ate almost none of it as state in the food review above. I was hoping to be able to give the sum of the meal to my server instead. Either way, I don’t think the menu nor the food enticed me to come back, I should have heeded my friends warnings as they were regulars here once and no longer come. My server was sweet and the best part of the whole experience though she kind of disappeared once my food showed up.

Let me give you all a little story of how our night went. Arrive at cheddars at 6:00pm for a friends birthday dinner. Get told its a 15 minute wait and handed one of those little black boxes that buzz and light up when its your turn to be seat. 30 minutes later one of our party asks when we will be sat. The hostess tells him she already called our party up and we must of not heard her. (we were literally sitting at the bench DIRECTLY in front of the hostess stand, and i was holding the little buzz box the entire time it never went off). Sit down at our table at about 6:30PM. 10 minutes goes by and the hostess comes and asked what we all want to drink. Tried to order a few drinks and got told if we wanted alcohol we would have to wait for our waitress. Not a big deal, we all get water and chocolate milk for the child. In come waitress number 1, takes out drink orders and appetizer order and we asked her for a booster seat because the hostess never brought us the one we asked for. 20 minutes go by and one of out party actually had to walk over to the bar and grab our drinks from the bartender because they were just sitting on the bar for about 10 minutes at this point. In come waitress number 2, repeats the same thing every waitress one says and asks for our meal orders. We give her our orders and asked for chocolate milk again for the child. In come waitress number 3 about 15 minutes later with one of our appetizers and the chocolate milk. Immediately after this waitress 4 arrives and ensures us our food is on the way and the other appetizer will be out shortly. 45 minutes go by with no show of any other appetizer, our actual meal orders or out waitress at all in general. One of our party walks almost into the kitchen before he finds any employees and asks for the manger. He explains to the manager its almost been an hour and they still have not brought either the second appetizer (how long does it take to make three croissants) or our actual meals. She ensures us they were being made fresh and will be out in a minute. Another 30 minutes goes by with no show of ANY food or the waitress in general. At this point everyone is pretty much over it and getting ready to just pay for the drinks and leave. So one of our party had to go track down the bartender and ask for a bill. We are greeted by the manager with two orders of croissants and a promise our meals will be out in a minute. After another 20 minutes we decide we are leaving and once again get the bartender and ask for our bills. The waitress comes to our table about 15 minutes later with the manager and asked if we wanted our food because it was almost ready. At this point we have been at the restaurant for about 2 hours and insisted on getting our bills and leaving. The manager gives us our bills and says "dont worry i didn't charge you guys for the food, just the drinks" (all im thinking is what food? we never got any) She asks if we wanted some 10$ gift cards and we ensured her we would never return to the restaurant. At this point the birthday girl(who is prego) is starving and upset so we leave and head DIRECTLY across the street to mission BBQ, got our food and ate in about 15 minutes. I have never in my life received such terrible service at a restaurant. Even O'charleys had better service and they were so bad they got shut down. Not only will none of us ever return but i will also tell this story to everyone who will listen, this restaurant, its staff, and the manager should all be...

My husband and our two year old son had dinner for the very first time at Cheddars yesterday, we had high hopes but were let down miserably by the terrible experience we had here. If I could give them 0 stars I would, as an Army veteran married to an active duty Marine we are all about respect and treating others with kindness and dignity, both of which we did not receive in this establishment. From the second we set foot in there we were rudely greeted by their hostess the other two workers in the front desk were also extremely rude and gave our family the cold shoulder. To make matters even worse the server was extremely rude to me, my husband and our 2 year old son, she was completely dismissive, gave awful dirty looks was impatient with the fact that I was having a hard time reading the menu as I didn’t have my glasses and at the same time try and take care of my son, she was disrespectful in every way possible, she lied to our faces in regards to their alcohol policies, and continued to be short and rude throughout the entire time we were there. She acted as though being bothered and rushing us into placing orders and continuing to look down upon my family. when we asked for more napkins for our son she gave us a very dirty and mean look and bright over 2 tiny napkins it was a total lack of care and lack of service, she walked up to us being rude and would walk away being absolutely rude. Thejr hostesses were also extremely rude and cold. Even with our server being rude disrespectful we were extremely polite to her and never once said one rude thing or complained about a single thing at all. The food was terrible, but the service was horrifying. Before the Army I worked as a server and in the healthcare industry and never in my life have I been treated or seen anyone be treated the way we were inside this establishment. As a server you are supposed to be polite to your guest and treat them with kindness especially when they have given you nothing but respect which we did to this person. The whole experience was horrible and I don’t wish it upon anyone, the reason I didn’t ask for a manager immediately after this happened was cause our son was upset and teething and in pain we had to get him home. The server did not show an ounce of kindness an ounce of respect she did not care about being polite at all and she openly and deliberately lied to both my husband and I about the restaurant alcohol policy she avoided us completely and disregarded our feelings and provided the WORST service I have ever received anywhere. Please save yourselves the time and money and take your families someplace nicer with better quality food better quality service and where staff is trained to treat guests with respect. I write this with. Heavy heart and hope it helps someone else not go through what my family and I had to endure at...
