We agreed to try this place. Go in place an order 1 was the chicken sandwich meal, mine had no cheese on it, the second meal was a spicy chicken meal with everything on it. When our food was ready the manager brought it out never called a number, he then takes it and sets it back on the shelf and waits for the waitress/cashier to find out who it belong to because he threw the food order number away, so the manager could go sit down and eat a hot meal. By the time she gets our food it's cold and nasty. We brought it home it was getting late in the pm, and was already getting frustrated at the way we were treated. When we got home come to find out his sandwich did not have cheese on it, the tomatoe slice was cut so thin it was only half a piece and only had one side it was so thin I could read right through it. Managers food did not look like that it was hot. My chicken sandwich was dry, hard, and cold, and greasy. It was so nasty that I fed it to my dogs, my husband did the same thing. We were so frustrated with it that we don't want to go back, and we will be making our friends aware of how we were treated there. The manager messed up the whole order, so that the manager could go eat a hot meal. The managers need to realize there are a number of chicken places breaking out on restaurant Registry of places to eat with whom they will respect the clientele, weather it's my first visit or my fiftith. Most managers like having a paycheck so they respect the clientele to make sure...
Read moreThis was my second visit. My first visit I only ordered fried mushrooms. They were fresh and the actual mushrooms were very good. The batter was extremely salty, almost inedibly so. The customer service was excellent, I was met with smiles and professionalism that rivaled the best of Chikfila.
This time, I almost didn't order because the young lady came across very uninterested over the speaker, with very long pauses between the greeting, order, price, ect. to the point I was going to ask if she was still listening. I ordered a cranberry lemonade, large potato salad (to add with dinner at home), and 1 tender with honey mustard (because I got picked on by my husband for going to a new chicken place and not trying the chicken 😅).
Once I got to the window, not sure if it was the same young lady who was on the speaker, but she was pleasant enough and smiled.
The chicken tender was fresh and tasted fine. The saltiness of the better disperses better with the chicken, I guess. The honey mustard, lemonade, and potato salad were all great (the potatoe salad tastes better than it looks!). I just wish there was a spice or cajun option for the tenders for more depth of flavor than what tastes like just salt and pepper. Quality if the chicken meat was...
Read moreI visited the Jacksonville, NC restaurant on 11/1/23. Let's just say the chicken lives up to it's name! It's seasoned to perfection and served in skinny tenders hence the name "Slim," I guess. All jokes aside the chicken was good. Hot, fresh and for naked strips very moist. The okra was still frozen considering we waited for 11 minutes, Im confused as to what happened. The Mac-n-cheese in the tenders bowl was really creamy, and flavorful but only included 3 tablespoons of Mac and cheese and 1 chicken strip which was less than expected for $10. The waffle was dry and didn't give an authentic waffle vibe. It was moreso a packaged peice of fluff, very bland and stale like old bread with a waffle imprint if that makes sense. Overall, I'm not impressed. The food is overpriced for the quality. The customer service was mediocre ( we spent $59 and I asked for 1 buffalo sauce and the lady at the window said if would be an additional 42 cents which I thought was ridiculous... Chick-fil-A would never!) They also forgot our untensils, straws and napkins...what a bummer! I eat out 4-5 times a week and I'm almost sure, I wouldn't go back unless it wason someone...
