Chick-fil-A in Shallotte is an excellent establishment. I have dwelled in this location over ten times since the opening, and every affair has been unprecedented. I want to commence this review by noting that I am a big fan of all the employees of red uniforms. All of them are young, hardworking, and sharp. They never fail to answer any crises, give me recommendations, and go that extra mile, which I expect of Chick-fil-A. Take this section of the review as a formal thank you to all young workers!
My most prominent problem with Chick-fil-A in Shallotte is the management. I have had numerous bad experiences with the manager, Alexa. Alexa is a tremendous bother and should relinquish her job. Around grand opening time, she always gave off a tyrannical impression. Alexa portrays unsatisfactory customer service qualities. I see her around whenever I order from the drive-thru and whenever I come into the store. Her demeanor is very nonchalant. I requested a #1 with cheese and bacon and other called things. My total was approximately $40. After agreeing both times, the cashier girl informed me twice that it would be an additional cost. My order was handed to me in a hustle. My milkshake was missing from my order. I turned around only to see the clerk almost give it to someone else. I intervened and was able to retrieve my milkshake. I opened my bag, starting eating, and my sandwich was incorrect. I went down to Alexa to inform her that my order was wrong. She asked me to open the sandwich to prove it was faulty, only for her to tell me that the cashier did not charge me for it. I presented her my receipt with my other orders; she then asked me to get back in line and pay for the additional items I requested the first time. I said never mind and went up to my family because I was bewildered at the service received. Alexa then fulminated about how I should have "grumbled" (the word grumbled, exclaimed by her) about my food being incorrect before taking a bite in the sandwich. As a customer, Alexa should not tell me what to do with my food. I did not realize it was wrong until after I tasted it.
The atmosphere here seems very tense to work under, and I know that is not normal for a Chick-fil-A. I am so accustomed to exceptional Chick-fil-A customer service that this seems out of the prosaic to me. Messy during rush and no staff available to address/clean. We had to ask for our table for cleaning. I feel dreadful for these young employees to deal with management like Alexa. Observing Alexa, she treats employees' the same way. I ordered here before and heard plenty of aggressive "Bump it!" from the back by Alexa. Furthermore, Alexa depicts some critical characteristics of narcissism, egoism, and selfishness. From my experience, she retaliates against anyone who disagrees with her. Alexa does not handle criticism well and gaslights others for things of her fault. She has no respect for customers and their time. She also believes she is superior to everyone in this establishment.
The system you have in place is very unorganized, especially in the waiting area. It's a horror scene. Another young lady attempted to help me when I was given the incorrect order. However, your management (Alexa) was rude and refused to provide me with the correct sandwich without paying for an additional one. You guys have the wrong staff doing specific tasks. As a Christian-based company, you guys need to do better. I just went to Chick-fil-A in Myrtle Beach, and the service I received there was exceptional. They were the foremost reason for wanting to venture and try this location. I'm admiringly disappointed and do not intend to revisit...
Read moreOne of my order had a side salad. Before opening it a few pieces of salad were already wilted. I open to remove the wilted ones and then found one piece that had molded. I was not going to eat that salad. I made a u turn to return to the restaurant. The young man there quickly came to help me. He went to the manager and the manager gave him a new salad to give to me. The young man ask if the salad looked ok. I inspected the salad prior to opening it. The salad looked better but not completely “fresh” looking. So I asked if I can open it and check. I still see some majorly wilted ones. I decided that I’m not going to have a salad there. I ask if I can get something else. That didn’t go smoothly after that. The manager named Brite came over looking annoyed. He said my first salad didn’t have any mold so he went back to get it from where he had trashed it and pulled that “wilted/molded” piece out. He said it’s only wilted. I asked him if it’s wilted would you eat that? I had to ask him three times because he kept arguing that it was wilted. He finally said no. He never apologized to me through the whole process. On top of that, two of the front young employees was taking about me right in front of me as I’m waiting. How unprofessional! not looking for a free meal or refund. Alrhough he did refund the side salad and didn’t charge me for the new order, I’ve never had a bad experience at Chick-fil-A. This is my very first and I’ve been a customer for a long time. I wish I had taken a photo of it but we were headed to meet our family. I don’t like giving a bad review and hence I didn’t give one star. I was not expecting this kind of service from...
Read moreWe went to this location of Chick-fil-a yesterday . It was our first time going to one of these restaurants because we live in Canada and I do not believe they are a chain there yet . The staff were helpful and kind . We had Stephanie take our order with the help of another gentleman . The surroundings were very clean and the staff very helpful . Thank you all who made our first experience a great one . The only thing that really we were put off by was after requiring to use the ladies facilities I washed my hands and out from another stall came a staff employee, a young girl kinda petite. While I was still washing my hands she breezed by me before I could get her name and she didn’t even wash her hands . I don’t know with all that is taught about the food service industry and post Covid I would have thought that this would be something that is drilled into the staff’s heads . I am sorry but this just made me ill . Not only did she go back to help with the food product but I think , not sure, but she was one of the delivery people to the cars . The young long haired girl had one of those yellow visible x jackets on . Was hoping my first experience was going to be amazing but this kind of made me think about Chick-fil-a and their standards....
