Very good selection of well-smoked meats. We had the brisket, ribs, and smoked chicken (white). Our sides were baked beans and fried okra. Beef Brisket was well smoked, tender and moist with excellent flavor. Pork Ribs had a good smoke on them, very tender, clean pull off the bones. Smoked Chicken (white meat) had a really good smoke and was moist and tender with a good rub on the skin. Baked Beans would be in the top 5 of best I've eaten. Great flavor and not too spicy or too sweet. Fried Okra was very good. Crispy and not greasy at all. A very good side selection. As for the sauces, it just depends on what your personal taste is for a sauce. I know some will not try another sauce beyond where their from, such as Eastern NC. We tried all the sauces and really liked the Sweet, the Tangy, and the Alabama White Sauce. The Eastern was good but was you're typical recipe, but still a good ratio of ingredients to make it better than many I had. Lexington style was typical of that style.

We will differently return and try the other meat selections, as well as the othe sides including the banana pudding, which looked very good.

Good quality BBQ! I’m not a local, nor am I Southern, so I’m no expert on how it measures up to other nearby places or the rest of NC BBQ in general. However, I know that my whole family enjoyed the meal a lot. We got 2 of the “mix” option” with mac and cheese, collard greens, baked beans, and white slaw. If there is one overall thing I think they need to do to take the business to the next level, it is that family orders should have at least a few of the most popular sauces pre-packed. Pork = moist and flavorful, but could have been pulled a bit more. Brisket = smoked well and tender, and trimmed so not too fatty, but it could have used a bit more seasoning. Baked beans = classic and with an addition of a little spicy kick (really good). Mac & cheese = classic creamy, stovetop-style that hit every note perfectly. Collard greens = delightfully tender and just smoky enough. White slaw = classic, creamy, sweet, and with the right amount of crunch. I can’t review all the sauces individually because I don’t remember all the names, but all the sauces are excellent. Definitely a good place and I imagine they will only get better, so...

Disappointed is an understatement 😭 The very first time we got food was delicious. I got the brisket and my husband got the ribs. Second visit I got the brisket and husband got the ribs. The brisket was dry overdone and probably was sitting around a while did not taste fresh. The portion was much smaller than the first visit as well. My husband rubs were ok. Third visit tonight ( take out from inside the store) was absolutely disgusting. Both my husband and I got the ribs. Mine were NOTHING but fat & inedible. If we didn't live a distance away I would have sure returned the whole meal for both my husband and myself. My husband ate maybe three of his ribs and the rest were fat as well. I did read a prior review with the same complaint. Wow truly disappointed!! I thought for sure we would be so excited to finally have decent BBQ ...boy was I wrong !!
