Forget your fancy-pants pubs and trendy eateries. If you want a burger that hits you right in the soul, you need to find your way to Fat Andy's in Southport, NC. This isn't just a burger joint; it's a throwback to a time when things were simple, and the food was what mattered. It's an old-school shack that serves up a perfect, juicy, messy masterpiece that will make you question every other burger you've ever had.

First off, this place is cash-only and a straight-up roadside shack. Don't expect any frills or fanfare—just pure, unadulterated burger perfection. The cheeseburger is a work of art: well-seasoned, juicy, and messy in the best way possible. It's everything a classic fast-food burger should be.

And let's talk about the fries. These aren't your typical floppy fast-food fries. They're hand-cut, perfectly seasoned, and served up in a red Solo cup, giving you major backyard party vibes. They're crispy, flavorful, and the perfect partner for that glorious burger.

Fat Andy's is more than just a meal; it's an experience. It's the kind of place you'll tell your friends about—a hidden gem that delivers a classic, mouth-watering burger every single time. It's a taste of nostalgia and a damn good...

Food is fresh greasy and made to order add Chili’, to your burger or a hot dog. Last weeks special was Pork Chop’s the Staff are friendly and efficient. My issue is this they close all the time, when burgers run out or for grill break down, it is the norm to see them open at 11,12 then when you circle back at 1:00 pm doors locked place is closed it makes bananas that there is never a consistency to this tiny rods side shack. Do grill maintenance on scheduled closed hours. My burger in the middle last visit was rather rare in the center, I was already home and not going back. Fries are tasty location is good. The owner needs to work out the issues he has been here long enough to get his mojo figured out. He definitely needs a place in the very downtown SP area. Other restauranteurs are growing and well he is just...

Fat Andy's is a Fantastic burger joint! Andy's opened up a little over 9 year's ago and before the owner Andy opened the place back up it sat emptyfor quitea few year's. However, it was and has always been a burger joint. I've been enjoying burger's from this same spot since I was a little girl. Just different owner's, but with all having the same thing in mind, which is the best burger's in town and friendly, smiling & great hospitality! I should know, like I said I've been going there since they opened and recently started working there part time just to have something extra to do. I can honestly say Andy & the other two ladies that I work with in the short time I've been there are already like family & I enjoy it very much😊. So come see us and we know you will truly enjoy your burger 🍔🥓🍟🌭🥤or whatever...

Fat Andy has it going on. Simple food, freshly prepared to order by friendly folks. Takaway or eat at the picnic tables onsite. I had the single cheeseburger, fries and drink. Burger was tasty and fries were fresh but grab some salt and pepper if you eat there, the burger was not seasoned or very lightly so. A little spendy at $13 but it was fresh and good and I don’t mind supporting a locally owned business. Stop by, you won’t regret it.
