I should start by saying that I do not enjoy posting negative reviews. And I understand that, during these difficult times, there is a shortage of workers and things are hard for everyone. I get that. I should also admit that I avoid "fast food" at all costs, but Five Guys has been an indulgence I enjoy once in a while, when the itch for a good take-out burger comes along. That will no longer be the case here. In order to grab a quick lunch while running errands, we ordered burgers and fries online. After placing the order, the website told me the food would be ready in about 7 minutes. Six minutes later, I walked in and stood near where the orders are given out, waiting my turn. Ten minutes later, after several others had come and gone, I was still standing there. I decided to check my phone to see if I had ordered from a different location, and saw a button to click to "Let us know when you arrive," or something like that. I clicked it, and only then did I hear an employee say my name. Only at that point, it seemed, did the employees start preparing my food. What's the point of ordering ahead online, if they don't make your food until after you get there? I should have just ordered at the counter. Then, after now waiting for 20 minutes, I watch a woman make our burgers, with her mask pulled down beneath her nose. What's the point of the mask? That might seem petty, but COVID cases are skyrocketing like never before. I asked for a refund, but was assured it would only be a few more minutes. The manager tried to make it right by giving me a couple gift cards, so kudos for that. But almost 30 minutes after placing the order, I walked out with the food and no appetite. What if I only had a 30-minute lunch break? After that experience, I threw my meal in the trash and crossed off Five Guys from the list of places I...
Read moreWe ordered, the total was $27.76. My friend was paying, and he gave the cashier $30.00, then I told the cashier that I have the $0.76 and I gave it to him, the cashier accepted the $0.76, then when giving my friend the change, the cashier was trying to give my friend $2.24 for my friend's change, which is VERY INCORRECT, then the cashier also asked his fellow coworker, "$30.00 - $27.76 is $2.24 right? The cashier was given a total of $30.76. Their supervisor came and we told him what happened and he agreed that the cashier was wrong for inputting $30.00 in the cash register and then my friend was given the...
Read moreI have never had so much salt put on my fries. We were trying to wipe it off with napkins so we could eat the fries. We all had the taste of salt in our mouth for the whole day. The bathroom was really dirty. There were little piles of dirt in the corners where the dirt had just been swept into the corners and the toilet lid was nasty. The soda from both the machines tasted weird too. We should have went to cookout for...
