Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in North Carolina

Slow! They lack customer service even from the owner. Ben sounds like he's on something recreational. I ordered 40 wings and it took an hour when I was told 30 to 40 minutes. Glad I didn't pay online. I sent them packing right back and without my business ever again!

Your shady staff went in and removed the order online after I called and complained. Ask Ben...the one who answered the phone when I called to complain about the time. He discussed with manager and said there was nothing they could do about the late food but offer a credit. Initially they thought I paid on line. When I told him I had not paid and was paying with cash, his disposition changed. (Your driver was standing at my door with the late order at this time) I guess he thought I was going to settle for this since he assumed I had already paid for the order. When I told him I hadn't and expected you guys to take something off for the service you did not provide in a timely manner, he said his manager was willing to give me credit for my next order! I declined as I should have since your mamager and Ben obviously didn't consider me as the valuable customer I am. I didn't feel it was reasonable to pay and accept the order at full price and sent your driver away with nothing but those cold and late wings he arrived with!

*Not to mention I had called ahead and told Ben I was placing an order of wings that needed to be cooked well/crispy! At what point was I gonna be told that my order would take an hour and some change? You had my number on the order, could have simply called and gave me a heads up!

On line the order said it would be 40-50 minutes. I ordered pizza somewhere else to go along with the wings. Pizza delivered 30 minutes before the wings with no problem! But, with Papa John's wings, it didn't turn out quite the same! I don't really expect anything at this point! Your low ratings speak for themselves. I should have viewed this...

It was a late evening and I felt myself getting hungry with not enough energy to cook. I've had a long history of satisfying experiences with this store location thus far, so I didn't give it a second thought when I threw the number in my phone. I am met with the same friendly familiar voices, and I hang up expecting my pizza in the same rapid speed that they consistently deliver. Not being the most patient person I give in to my cravings and go to my kitchen to snack a little while I wait. A couple grapes later, and I find myself in the situation that made me finally sit down and put the time into giving this long deserved review. One of the grapes in the handfuls I was greedily throwing into my mouth hit just the right spot to get lodged in my windpipe. Panicked ensued as I began to realize the trouble I was in. Right when the anxiety was about to spill over and before panic could take my senses completely, a saving ring came from the door. Lurching into my entry way I can only imagine the scare I gave that young delivery driver when I flung the door open practically blue in the face. If it wasn't for that heroic drivers quick action in performing the Heimlich on me to dislodge the grape I dont know if I'd still be here. I received a lot more than excellent service, and delicious pizza from this Papa John's. I am and will continue to be a loyal customer to this fine...

This place is dishonest and makes bad pizza. I ordered two pizzas online & got a notification my order was ready. When I arrived the order was not done. I paid the cashier and then the cashier went back and started making pizzas. The customer ahead of me apparently worked there and went back and made his own pizza which seems odd. When I finally got my pizzas, one of them was missing the ordered toppings. The cashier/pizza maker said he would refund the cost I paid for the pizza and he'd still make a replacement. I personally didn't want to wait but did because it was my kids' pizza and they were waiting with me. About 25 minutes later the pizza was done and I asked about the refund as I had paid cash. The cashier said the credit would show up on my Papa John's account in a couple days. A month+ later and still no credit and I didn't even get the points for the purchase I paid for either. I rated the interaction online and asked for someone to contact me and despite twice promising online, I have not had anyone from Papa John's speak with me about the problem, nor correct the issue.
